The smallest figure, which was the meatball in the center, reached the city gate first. Initially, Ye Zhongming and the others had entered Divine Artisan City through this very gate.
The meatball arrived at the base of the city wall and completely ignored the dwarf mechanical warriors attacking it. With several arms pushing against the ground, its body leaped up.
Like a bouncy ball, the towering walls of Divine Artisan City appeared to be just a fence in front of it. With a single jump, its arms grabbed onto the highest edge of the wall.
This was all happening amidst the onslaught of various attacks.
"Don't let it come up! Don't let it come up!"
Shouts rang out from the wall as many city defense devices frantically adjusted their angles.
The dwarven warriors were indeed elite among the All Races of the Universe, comparable to any super race, and in terms of individual combat power, they were even slightly superior.
This was a result of their manufacturing advantages.
However, they had experienced some conflicts and battles over the years, but they had never faced a city siege. So while they were skilled in face-to-face combat, defending the city felt... not that they couldn't do it, but they were simply unaccustomed to it.
This unfamiliarity caused their firepower to be somewhat scattered at that moment, weakening their response just enough for the meatball to seize the opportunity and leap onto the city wall.
In a city wall siege, once an attacking side reaches the top, the defending side doesn't have too many things to do. The most important task is to force the opponent down. And for that purpose, close combat is the most direct and effective method.
The dwarf mechanical warriors quickly surged forward.
They were unclear about what this massive, arm-like meatball was, and they did not fear its tremendous strength or overwhelming speed. With skilled fighters at the forefront, the rest of the power-type warriors joined the fray. If their weapons couldn't be used due to distance or other reasons, they were determined to withstand the blows with their mechanical battle armor bodies.
The dwarves and the affiliated races living within the city showed exceptional fighting will and strength at this moment.
Efficient command, excellent individual combat capabilities, strong teamwork, and high-quality combat equipment were all signs of a strong army, but the underpinning of all this was... courage, or rather, not fearing death. When many die, one must not crumble.
The meatball's arms were too powerful. Even standing still, it was still not something ordinary warriors could withstand. Even skilled fighters could only barely compete when employing their strongest abilities.
But the meatball didn't just possess one arm. While it was large, the area around it was limited, accommodating only a few attackers. Therefore, what those outside saw was that each time the meatball swung its arm, at least two warriors flew out. As for those who were flung away, unless they were at the level of skilled fighters, they would certainly not survive.
The dwarf commander had no choice but to charge forward personally.
He was also a skilled fighter, not yet at the peak level, but close enough, and with his formidable strength, he immediately entangled two arms of the meatball, relieving some pressure from his subordinates, allowing them to attack the meatball fiercely.
Although casualties were still unavoidable, it was far better than losing a few every second as before.
However, their wish to quickly force the meatball down failed.
In just two minutes, after suffering nearly a thousand casualties, they were only thirty centimeters away from pushing the meatball that had leaped onto the wall down.
Then, a second meatball leapt up from the ground, not even grabbing onto the wall but landing directly on top of it.
With a loud bang, the wall trembled, and every dwarf's heart quivered.
They hadn’t even pushed one meatball down, and now another had appeared. Would the wall not hold?
