Chapter 2657: Battle of the Divine Artisan City (Part Seven) ⚔️

Published: February 13, 2025

Seeing such a scene, every life attacking Divine Artisan City felt an immense weight in their hearts.

Over a hundred massive Rebel Dragons were impaled and hung against the city wall. Thanks to their strong vitality, most of these dragons didn't die immediately but instead struggled and roared, hoping to win a chance for survival.

Unfortunately, Divine Artisan City, having revealed its trump cards, obviously did not give such opportunities. Within each layer of the city, deadly spells or city defense devices powered by technology and fuleira were deployed, either bombarding or piercing into the nearby dragon bodies.

A large amount of Dragon Blood spilled down from the walls of Divine Artisan City, landing on the ground and evaporating into mist due to the elemental power contained within.

Some dragons fought bravely; even though their bodies couldn't escape and their spells couldn't be cast because of damaged meridians, they retaliated with their most instinctual dragon breath, even if the target of their attacks could only be the nearby city wall!

Others couldn't even unleash their dragon breath and used the moving parts of their bodies—dragon heads, claws, tails—to scratch the city wall or sweep through the floors, regardless of what lay there.

The explosive dragon breath struck the city wall, scorching their own bodies in the process. The effects of dragon claws, fangs, and horns against specially reinforced metal walls were not significant, leading to more injuries and bleeding among the dragons.

Without the impact enhancement or sufficient swing, even the bodies of the dragons seemed powerless in front of the city walls, which had been fortified for countless years.

Some dragon tails or heads did manage to yield some effect during the counterattacks, destroying city defense tools and killing guards with their dragon strikes.

The fierce resistance between life and death ultimately ended with all more than a hundred dragons being killed.

Dragon corpses hung on the city walls, their twisted and broken bodies, blood, and severed limbs all stimulated the nerves of those assaulting the city.

A seemingly simple green light and the coordinated attacks caused such immense losses to the Dragon Race's forces! The battle had just begun, and already over a hundred dragons had perished!

The commander of the Su Clan, serving as the deputy commander, looked at Ye Zhongming.

In his view, even at this point, the initiative was still in their hands—not the initiative of the battle itself, but the initiative of when this conflict would end.

Currently, they had powerful allies in the form of the Rebel Dragon Race and the unfathomable book keepers from the Library Palace. Without suffering significant losses and keeping most of their main forces intact, they could withdraw from the battlefield at any time.

After all, as long as their strength remained, what could the severely weakened Tarros Red Dwarfs do against the safely retreating allied forces? The result would merely involve some skin-shedding for a few years and then a symbolic compensation.

However, if they continued fighting and suffered significant losses, the situation would become serious; at that point, it wouldn't even be a matter of negotiation, but they wouldn't have any bargaining chips left.

Then, not just Ye Zhongming, but also the Su Clan and the Musk Ke People would inevitably perish.

His meaning was clear: if they retreated now, it would still be timely.

Yet Ye Zhongming's expression was like iron, unmoved.

He understood what the Su Clan commander was thinking.

But at this stage, did he really have a way out?

No, he did not.

Indeed, they had eliminated nearly half of the Dwarf's troops, seemingly inflicting great damage on them. In some sense, this was true.

But in reality, the remaining troops of the Dwarfs were their true elite. Divine Artisans still had two left, along with countless divine level weapons and other hidden cards.

If things stopped here, then the recovering Dwarfs would not let Ye Zhongming off easily, that was absolutely impossible.
