Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 2650: Blood-Stained World (Twenty-Four) 🩸

Published: February 13, 2025

Daqu Wu, Lord Luoxu, Regnayu, and Olaiwo, four peak experts, watched the vanishing light in the distance, their expressions twisted with rage.

Jie Luo was dead, killed by a single arrow from the fallen saint bow.

Although the fallen saint bow had been recovered, the four showed no signs of happiness.

They exchanged glances and descended to the ground, where a path led underground.

The Cloud Summit Manor had lost its former beauty and cleanliness, now reduced to ruins and devastation.

The battle between peak experts was a disaster for the surrounding environment, especially since Ye Zhongming had intended this place to be part of his plan; its current state was within his expectations.

The four entered the underground passage, their enormous mental energy locking onto a specific location and the person inside.

Moments later, they saw that person and the face associated with it.

If it were in the past, any one of the four would have felt nothing for this face, for its owner was unworthy of stirring any emotion within them.

But now, it was different, as the owner of this face had dealt them a significant blow, having eliminated several peak experts among the dwarves so far.

Not to mention the previous losses, just today alone, here in this place, he had relied on two peak giant dragons to kill Jie Luo, ultimately allowing both peak giant dragons to escape through a secret teleportation array.

Battles among peak experts were not a simple equation of addition and subtraction; it wasn’t merely that one side had five peaks while the other had two, leading to a straightforward conclusion of three remaining peaks.

The most likely outcome was that the side with five peaks would achieve a total victory.

Yet the result was that the side with more people lost one, while the other side, although both peak giant dragons were severely injured, ultimately managed to escape using the powerful defense of the water dragon and the spatial ability of the Dark Giant Dragon.

For the Tarros Red Dwarfs, this was an undeniable failure.

Fortunately, their failure still had some value: they had captured the planner of it all, the master of this manor.

“You're calmer than we expected. Aren't you going to resist?” Regnayu looked at Ye Zhongming, who had turned to face them.

“No need, it's useless.” Ye Zhongming shrugged and smiled, “How does it feel to have a companion die?”

Lord Luoxu was already furious and, upon hearing this, raised his hand, unleashing a surge of energy that sent Ye Zhongming flying.

“We will execute you in front of all races, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make you suffer a bit first.”

The Tarros Red Dwarfs' failure could only be partially redeemed by publicly executing Ye Zhongming. As for whether Ye Zhongming would remain intact during the execution, it mattered little.

Lord Luoxu took a step forward, aiming to grab Ye Zhongming, but Ye Zhongming suddenly darted backward, creating distance between them.

The peak experts laughed, mocking this guy's arrogance in thinking he could futilely dodge at this moment.

“Well then, since you don’t want me to catch you, I shall…” A somewhat cruel expression appeared on Lord Luoxu's face.

“Let’s see how you taste this.”

With that, he raised the fallen saint bow in his hand and asked his companions beside him, “Do you think if I shoot this guy’s leg without using too much force, it won’t kill a peak expert like him?”

Olaiwo coughed lightly, some blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, a result of his wounds from the earlier encounter with the two peak giant dragons; his own estimate was that it would take at least twenty days to heal.

“Shouldn’t be a problem, worst case, he just loses a leg,” Olaiwo thought it lacked cruelty and let his gaze linger on Ye Zhongming's arm, where a blast wouldn’t cause any issues.

“Good!” Lord Luoxu said and then unleashed the arrow; from this close range, there was no need to aim. A red light flashed, and Ye Zhongming’s right leg was shot to bits.
