Zizikaba wiped the sweat from his palms.

It wasn't tension, at least not entirely; it was more excitement.

The prey had entered the ambush point far more smoothly than anticipated.

Most importantly, the over 120,000 Tarros Red Dwarfs, who could be seen as prey by most races, had no awareness of being hunted at all.

At one moment, Zizikaba even wondered if something was amiss. How could it be so easy? How could those dwarfs fall for it so simply?

Did they have no sense of vigilance at all?

But after a moment's thought, Zizikaba understood.

The dwarfs had been a bit too complacent lately.

They were currently in the era of the three divine artisans, a stage of explosive growth after a long period of buildup, and it was a time when they were striving for more rights among the All Races of the Universe.

This was their internal situation. What about the external? The three major factions were in constant conflict, with the Su Clan and the Lena People Camp forming a soft alliance against the Hall People. Among the major powers, the dwarfs faced the least pressure.

Combined with their status as the largest weapons supplier in the universe, it could be said that they had the advantage of timing, location, and people. They could indeed act wantonly, especially with the name of revenge hanging over them.

A peak divine artisan, along with two peak legion leaders and an entire mechanical legion’s combat power to capture one person in a city was akin to a lion using all its strength to catch a rabbit; under such circumstances, they had no reason to hesitate.

But... Zizikaba stood up from his seat.

They would never know what awaited them.

The communicator on the terminal fell into silence, suggesting that the prey had already sensed something was off.

“Zhong Gu.”

A figure appeared at the door and said to Zizikaba, “My lord.”

In those simple two words was a barely contained urge for battle.

“Let’s begin.”

……………………

“Lord Lingqin!”

Feng Hua, the vice commander of the third mechanical legion, took a step forward.

Lingqin turned her gaze towards him.

“We... should not be afraid!”

As soon as the vice commander finished speaking, he was pulled back by Commander Kambosijie.

“Lord Lingqin is cautious!” Kambosijie sternly reprimanded his subordinate.

This was actually for Feng Hua's good. Lingqin was not just a peak divine artisan; she was also the chieftain's wife. Saying she shouldn't be afraid was tantamount to calling her timid, which was a serious offense.

“Don't you think this feels like a trap? A trap specifically designed for us?”

From the moment the communication was blocked, Lingqin had not sat down in the aircraft. Her eyes remained fixed on the monitor, her expression tense.

She didn't care if Feng Hua's words were meant to mock her; at least not now.

What Lingqin cared about was the overwhelming sense of crisis brewing in her heart.

“All units, be on alert! Turn around, return to base!”

Lingqin made this decision within seconds.

She would rather be labeled a coward than risk an entire mechanical legion following her into danger.

Kambosijie hesitated for a moment.

Suddenly, Lingqin turned around and, with terrifying speed, grabbed Kambosijie's throat.

“I said, retreat!”

This was not something Kambosijie had expected, but it couldn't be denied that Lingqin's strength far exceeded everyone else's expectations.

In the dwarfs' minds, Lingqin was supposed to be a non-combat peak divine artisan.

“...Yes!”

Kambosijie ceased his resistance and immediately ordered a retreat; the entire flying formation began to change direction in the air.

However, before the formation could complete its turn, the three peak experts suddenly changed their expressions and dashed out simultaneously, striking out with their hands in three different directions.

Although the flying formation had its signals blocked, only the communication was hindered; it still maintained detection of the surroundings. In the next moment after the three peak experts dashed out, alarm signals blared, and a piercing warning sound echoed.
