Chapter Text:

Lyka Fox was somewhat silent.

Today's sudden challenge from the divine stele caught him off guard. Along with his surprise, he was left with an unshakeable suspicion.

Though life at the peak realm occasionally engages in challenges, it is not a common occurrence. Most of the time, such confrontations are private and intense sparring sessions or aimed at personal breakthroughs. Those who can seek challenges from other races at the peak level tend to have relatively free status within their own clan.

What does relative freedom mean? In simple terms, it refers to those who are either singularly focused on martial arts, or hold lesser roles within their clan, or have a lower status.

It is rare for a clan leader like the divine stele to engage in sparring matches with peers, much less to publicly challenge others.

When things deviate from the norm, there's bound to be something amiss. Lyka Fox knew that something was happening, at least in the present moment, which prompted the divine stele to act.

He decided to wait and see if the divine stele would say anything more or if any news would come through.

Naturally, there was another reason behind his decision: the divine stele was far more troublesome than he had anticipated.

In terms of racial strength, the musk ke people were clearly no match for the Hall People. Both were super clans, but there was a distinct tier difference in strength.

However, when it came to the nuanced differences between the overall strength of their races, the gap between the divine stele and Lyka Fox was very minuscule. After all, the former was the leader of a super clan, enjoying priority access to various resources, while Lyka Fox was not the top figure among the Hall People, even if he bore the title of the clan's strongest expert.

Soon, some information came through the terminal to Lyka Fox. Even though he was trying hard to maintain his composure, he could not help but reveal an odd expression.

With an extremely complex gaze, he looked at the divine stele and asked, "You... plan to act against the dwarves?!"

The Hall People once had an audacious plan to annex the Su Clan and the Tarros Red Dwarf, but it had later been halted due to a sudden influx of slave tribe nutrients.

In Lyka Fox's eyes, that plan was already incredibly daring. A single misstep could lead to disastrous repercussions, potentially causing two super leader races to fall from grace. Therefore, during its execution, they had to proceed with extreme caution; any hint of trouble would lead to an immediate halt.

That plan was built upon the absolute strength to overwhelm the Su Clan and the Tarros Red Dwarf. Even so, there were still numerous concerns, leading to a state of alertness until it was abruptly stopped.

And now, this group, consisting of the Su Clan Alliance and the musk ke people, along with the insignificant Star Eye Clan, actually intended to eliminate the Tarros Red Dwarf!

Lyka Fox felt that the universe had gone mad; if not, then these people must be the insane ones.

Were the dwarves, who had entered the era of the divine artisan, really so easy to provoke? In Lyka Fox's view, whether it was a direct confrontation or a comprehensive contest, the dwarves had the upper hand.

They currently had numerous peak experts, all bearing divine level prowess, and even the Hall People would not dare to entertain thoughts against them.

What gave this rabble the right to do so?!

Yet now, these individuals had taken action, leaving Lyka Fox feeling an ineffable sense of helplessness.

"You all killed KunzεΊ§ and obtained the fallen saint bow."

Then another message came through, causing Lyka Fox's expression to shift.

"It really was you!"

The Hall People had been investigating the death of a peak expert and the disappearance of a piece of divine level equipment for quite some time. Previously, they had only suspected the Su Clan, but now they were finally certain.

This news had likely spread, as several figures appeared in the sky, all peak-level Hall People watching the divine stele with unfriendly eyes.
