"You really need to change this habit of eating raw meat," Anu Mious said, shaking his head. After a moment, he helplessly handed a beast's hind leg to the person in front of him.
The person grinned at Anu Mious, revealing a mouth full of blood and meat paste.
Anu Mious shook his head again and lay down on the grass, no longer looking at him. After a while, the person finished the entire hind leg, let out a satisfied burp, moved a short distance, and sat down beside Anu Mious. He looked up at the night sky and said, "I’ve seen you staring at night skies the most. It’s fine here; at least it’s real. But you look up at the fake starry sky at the Survivor Fortress too. Don’t you find it annoying? You spend all your time looking at the stars; how do you practice?"
Anu Mious chuckled, "Brandt, just as you think eating raw meat is a habit that brings you closer to our ancestors, helping you reach their heights, I believe that looking at celestial bodies more often is beneficial for understanding the rules of the universe."
The man from the Iron Justice Clan clicked his tongue a couple of times and said, "It sounds like you think Fuleira has already reached ninety-nine thousand."
Anu Mious laughed a couple of times, then fell silent.
"Are you worried about tomorrow's battle?" Brandt asked. Even though he ate raw meat, he was not a barbarian; he understood his friend's current concerns.
Previously, as a key training subject of the Iron Justice Clan, an affiliate of the Hall People, Brandt had the qualifications to study or train with the main race, and through that, he met his fellow Hall Person, Anu Mious.
However, at the time, they only knew each other and perhaps appreciated each other a bit. It wasn’t until they spent time together here, cycle after cycle, that they became true friends.
"Of course, how could I not be worried?" Anu Mious said, sitting up. He looked around at the people nearby who were either resting or chatting, lowering his voice, "You’ve seen the leaderboard. They must have eliminated the Tarros Red Dwarfs. That group of dwarfs may not have any standout individuals, but there are quite a few of them, and their equipment is better. Anyone who can take them down must be no ordinary fighter."
As he spoke, Anu Mious casually pulled some grass from the ground, chewed it for a moment, and then spat it aside.
"My master told me that Hall People should maintain a calm heart in any situation. If you can’t, then try tasting tree leaves and grasses to keep the bitterness clear in your mind."
"I admit, at first, I didn’t take them seriously. After one cycle, although they performed well, I focused more on the Cave Holder, Zhang Jia, Qabinger, and those dwarfs. Cloud Summit... was just too insignificant."
"But now it seems I was mistaken. The weakness of Cloud Summit lies in their overall strength, in their top individuals, and in their entire racial heritage. But that doesn’t mean their newcomers will be weak. On the contrary, smaller clans like them should place more emphasis on the novice battlefield, spending considerable time and resources to cultivate a few individuals in hopes of achieving good results in the novice battlefield that year. It’s indeed a good strategy. Looking at it now, they have been quite successful, haven’t they?"
After saying all this, Anu Mious lay back down, as if the bitterness of the grass had cleared his mind and allowed him to complete his contemplation.
Brandt nodded and added, "They are impressive. I've heard from a few who came over to us that although they are not numerous, their coordination in battle is very systematic, and their attack methods are diverse. Especially that four-man group from Cloud Summit, they have clear divisions of labor, each with their characteristics, fighting fiercely. The woman named Xia Bai is quite fierce."
He glanced at his friend, "She usually doesn’t say much, but when it comes to fighting, she becomes a completely different person. It’s somewhat similar to you."
