Saying this might not be entirely accurate; gunfire and explosions produce intense flames or sounds, but these round balls exploding seem a bit less imposing.
Only some brief, sharp whistling sounds can be heard.
This sound was unfamiliar to most of the people present, but the seven Tarros Red Dwarves turned pale.
"Get down!" they shouted, but their hearts were filled with despair.
They had heard the sound produced by the layered bow being activated.
The layered bow is a high-end weapon manufacturing technique mastered by the Tarros Red Dwarves. It involves designing a mechanism in a very small space, allowing some components within to fold multiple times. When these components are activated, they unleash an unimaginably powerful force.
When paired with some finely crafted special metal needles or metal beads around the mechanism, it becomes a stealthy and formidable hidden weapon.
On Ye Zhongming's side, he referred to this type of thing as Round Bee. He had used it in the planet hunting grounds, but now Liang Chuyin was using a second-generation layered bow that had been activated over twelve thousand times!
Due to the high technical skill required for the layered bow, not many could master it even among the Tarros Red Dwarves. Furthermore, this weapon only poses a threat to powerful life forms in the universe when it has been activated over a thousand times. The failure rate during the manufacturing process is also quite high; one wrong move could lead to the death of the maker. Thus, the difficulty level is evident.
Currently, within the Tarros Red Dwarves, there is a certain stock of these weapons, and some have circulated outside, but the numbers are limited. Most are below three thousand activations, and only those with over seven thousand activations can pose a threat to Leira wearing Kegang-level armor. The quantity of such weapons is very small.
Even so, these types of weapons are typically brought out only during large-scale battles.
However, the Tarros Red Dwarves had seen the layered bow and its activation during their systematic study of racial knowledge. They had also watched related war videos, which left a shocking impact on them.
Thus, they naturally remembered this sound vividly.
They shouted in despair, knowing it was already too late. They were just unwilling to accept why the Cloud Summit Quartet had access to this exclusive weapon of the Tarros Red Dwarves. Even if some had made their way outside, they had indeed fallen into the hands of this person from Cloud Summit. But were there really so many?
These few balls had been cut from the weapon of that woman, Liang Chuyin, earlier. It could be said they were entirely random, yet with all these balls exploding, each one contained the exquisite mechanisms of the layered bow. Didn't that mean that the 'ball bouquet' in that woman's hands was made up entirely of these?!
It was impossible for the layered bow weapons that had circulated outside to be so identical. Moreover, these spheres had been in battle; they had not only endured violent shaking but had also absorbed the user's energy. How could they not explode?
These questions were etched in their hearts in an instant.
Yet, three Dwarves could no longer hear the answers.
Two Dwarves who had their firearms explode and one who had been too close to a semi-circular metal structure for defense were unable to defend themselves against the barrage of needle attacks. Even their armor and combat support systems could not stop the onslaught, resulting in numerous small holes in their bodies.
Before much blood could flow from these wounds, they collapsed... their insides reduced to tatters.
They were the primary targets of Liang Chuyin's attack, but they were not the whole story. Some of the spheres exploded farther away from them; the three heavily armored Tarros Red Dwarves could not defend against them, not to mention the others.
At least several dozen figures surrounding them collapsed at that moment.
Those closer were instantly lifeless, while those further away writhed on the ground with terrifying wails.
