Chapter 2460: But I Don't Want to (Part Two) 😩

Published: February 13, 2025

Liang Chuyin and the other three stepped out, looking at Cave Holder with confusion.

After several cycles, everyone basically knew the prominent figures among the novice group, and the Cloud Summit Quartet naturally ranked among them. The top expert nurtured by the Tarros Red Dwarf was also one of the rising personalities.

In the previous cycle, the Cloud Summit Quartet, along with their allies, had eliminated quite a few members of the Tarros Red Dwarf Camp, so it wasn't surprising that their 'leader' sought them out. However, what did it mean when he insisted on seeing Ye Zhongming?

Liang Chuyin and the others didn't care about being looked down upon; they didn't need anyone's admiration. But in front of the Tarros Red Dwarves, everyone in Cloud Summit Manor had a guilty conscience.

They had caused chaos in Human-Divine Artisan City, killed, and even robbed materials worth over fifty billion years gold, leaving a mark related to divine level equipment. Anyone in their position would have felt guilty when facing the family of those they had harmed.

"Is there something you want?" Gao Yi stared at Cave Holder, coldly asking, while remaining somewhat on guard. He feared that this guy might suddenly attack; if he really went all out and injured Liang Chuyin or Xia Bai, it would be his responsibility.

Cave Holder crossed his arms and glanced at Gao Yi without speaking. After a moment of confusion, he seemed to understand.

Gao Yi quickly caught on; he was being mocked for being timid.

The avoidance team had a reputation as gods of murder on Earth, and as their leader, Gao Yi hadn't really been afraid of anything. Although he felt anger inside, he didn’t act impulsively and maintained his cool demeanor.

"Ye Zhongming was first last time," Cave Holder suddenly spoke. "This time, his team won’t be first."

"So, you think you will be first?" Liang Chuyin replied, her tone laced with sarcasm.

"That should be the case," Cave Holder said nonchalantly.

His indifferent and arrogant expression left the internet celebrity speechless. How confident could he be? Who gave him such courage? Was it Jing Ru?

"May I ask, are you wholeheartedly loyal to the Dwarves?" the internet celebrity pondered before asking.

Huh? This time it was Cave Holder's turn to be at a loss for words. With so many people watching, how should he answer this question? A no would seem wrong, but a yes might come off as too sycophantic.

"The answer to this question is obvious; I don't need to state it," Cave Holder finally replied.

Liang Chuyin smirked, "If you kill us, you’ll be first. But until you do so, don’t bark nonsense. Are you addicted to being a pork tapeworm?"

Cave Holder and the others were left puzzled. What on earth was a pork tapeworm?

Using this term to describe Cave Holder and the dwarves was not entirely correct, but Liang Chuyin didn’t care about that; venting was what mattered to her.

"In the next cycle, I challenge you," Cave Holder declared, shifting his gaze from Liang Chuyin's face to Xia Bai's. "Or it could be you."

"Or you," he added, finally looking at Yama Tree.

Only Gao Yi was left out, which made the team leader feel like he was about to enter a state of bloodline activation.

Miss Luo Luo scoffed, dismissing them altogether, while Xia Bai regarded him with an expression as indifferent as looking at cabbages, showing no reaction.

"But I don’t want to," Liang Chuyin said impatiently, waving her hand before leading everyone back to the tent.

Cave Holder stood for a few seconds before turning to leave.

This incident quickly spread throughout the novice camp, leading everyone to conclude that while the Cloud Summit Quartet was powerful together, their strength would severely diminish if separated, as each of them had obvious weaknesses.

Amid this skepticism, the fourth cycle began.

"This time we chose District Fifty," Liang Chuyin said with a smile, and the other three knew why she was smiling. It was because in the last novice battlefield, Ye Zhongming had solidified his first-place position in District Fifty, kicking off his journey among the All Races of the Universe.
