If the middle-aged woman in front of him was indeed the notorious Red Creator from his previous life, Ye Zhongming truly didn't know how to deal with her.
Kill her?
After all, in the eyes of many ruthless survivors, Red Creator was an embodiment of absolute evil. She not only forcibly fused humans with mutated life forms, creating terrifying monsters, but she was also extremely cruel to humans, often receiving reports of bases being slaughtered by her.
Moreover, among her other nicknames were Cannibal Red and Mad Red, which showed just how detestable her actions were in her past life.
But it couldn't be denied that Liu Zhenghong held a prominent position among many scientific figures in the apocalypse, perhaps even ranking among the top three. Ye Zhongming felt that if not for her terrible reputation, she might have claimed the title of the number one scientist of the apocalypse.
Le Da Yuan was also a master, but his expertise lay in manufacturing, while Liu Zhenghong was a master in biological science.
Both individuals were leaders in their respective fields, yet one was helping humanity fight against alien species, revered by survivors as the father of magic crystal weapons, while the other was despised, called Red Creator and an evil scientific monster.
Ye Zhongming's finger nearly pulled the trigger.
"You want to kill me?" Liu Zhenghong looked at Ye Zhongming in confusion. "I can tell from your expression that you've heard my name before, but I don't recall meeting you or having any interaction with you. My memory is excellent; I don't make mistakes. So, what is your reason for wanting to kill me?"
Perhaps due to her long dealings with the dead, this woman was unusually sensitive to murderous intent. The moment Ye Zhongming's killing intent arose, she promptly sensed it.
Ye Zhongming was indeed at a loss for words. Should he say he heard about her in his past life? That she once created a kind of monster that completely defied human conventions? Or that she was extremely cruel, with blood of her kind on her hands?
Suddenly, Ye Zhongming realized that he had never actually seen this woman who ruled in the Northern Country. Everything he knew about her was hearsay. Were the rumors he heard necessarily true?
Even if, for the sake of argument, the legends about Liu Zhenghong were real, did that give him a valid reason to kill this woman who had done nothing in this life?
Bloodied hands? Who in the apocalypse wasn’t? Even the reborn Ye Zhongming had killed numerous survivors!
"I can't understand; forget it, do as you wish," the woman said, seemingly indifferent to Ye Zhongming, as she looked at Wang Xia's belly. She pulled out a surgical knife from somewhere, intending to cut it open.
"Are you crazy?"
Ye Zhongming yanked the woman away.
Even a newly born magic monster poses a high danger level. With Liu Zhenghong being a one-star evolver not particularly strong in combat, she might not even be able to handle a newborn magic monster. Was she really looking to dig out the little demon monster? That would be courting death, as the magic monster could easily pierce through her body.
"Either way, you want to kill me. Before I die, I must see what these green-skin monsters and human females reproduce! Is it a new species or a genetic invasion that only inherits its parent's genes?"
Saying that, she tried to shake off Ye Zhongming's grip and continued to dissect Wang Xia’s belly.
Ye Zhongming kicked Liu Zhenghong away and stepped in front of Wang Xia.
He saw the plea in this woman's eyes.
"Kill... it."
Her words were indistinct and extremely weak, but Ye Zhongming understood.
Looking at the little demon monster writhing inside Wang Xia’s belly, he slowly stabbed the edge of the moon into it. The unborn little demon monster trembled violently a couple of times before dying.
Wang Xia smiled, but given her current state, the smile appeared somewhat distorted.
Her body trembled slightly as her life approached its final moments. She murmured words that no one else could hear, her eyes and face filled with relief, then slowly lowered her head.
