CHAPTER TEXT:

In the story "Still One in Two," Mina launched a surprise attack but was severely injured and sent away for treatment. She and Garan's deputy took over command and continued to direct the battle. At the same time, a youth army reserve climbed onto the city walls to engage in joint defense with them.

The mood among the beastmen below the city was very grim at this moment.

Originally, the strategy here was to break through with strength. Although the number of beastman warriors among the five armies did not have an advantage, nine top experts were gathered here. They planned to use their formidable individual strength to launch a surprise attack on the city and break through in one fell swoop.

However, it was a disheartening start; a top expert who should have been the safest was unexpectedly killed.

This left the other beastman generals nearby feeling extremely frustrated.

They could sense that the human woman who had just attacked was weaker than them, yet it was precisely this weaker individual who successfully executed an attack and succeeded.

With one less top expert present, many beastman generals began to harbor concerns.

“Continue the plan. This is just an accident and does not affect our strategy for today.”

An orc wearing black heavy armor rode on a serpent-like battle beast and addressed the other beastman experts.

“I know you have concerns and think that the kids alone can take this place without us risking ourselves.”

“Because we have more numbers than them.”

“But don't forget what kind of beings they are.” The black-armored orc expert revealed a massive mountain cleaving axe in his hand, pointing at the city walls and saying, “They are invaders; they want to take our world for themselves. Just by looking at their appearance, we know that if we fail, will they allow us to continue existing?”

“No, they won't. In their eyes, we will be disgusting monsters, just as they are in ours.”

“Everyone knows what this place is. In a short time, they have built two such solid and massive cities. Before we arrived, they had already occupied a large area.”

“If we allow them to establish themselves successfully, it won't be long before we lose all our land.”

This beastman expert seemed to hold considerable authority. He was the first to urge his battle beast toward the city walls, while his voice resonated loudly enough for many strong beings to hear.

“For different species, there is only life and death, no compromise. They possess technology we lack but have strength as powerful as ours. So, don’t harbor delusions about wearing them down. Do you know how many invaders are still in those two cities? What if they outnumber us?”

“So strike! Either establish victory today or die here, buying time for our people to prepare for battle... or to flee.”

After speaking, this expert let out a roar that could be heard clearly from both cities. The serpent-like battle beast leaped into the air, crossing a long distance and reaching the sloping top of the city walls.

He raised the mountain cleaving axe high above his head and then brought it crashing down towards the city wall.

This was a full-powered strike from a top expert; just the momentum changed the color of the surroundings.

On Cloud Summit's side, countless crossbow arrows and skills flew to try to stop this beastman expert, even the magic crystal cannon was aimed at him and began to rumble.

However, the battle beast beneath him opened its massive mouth and spewed forth clouds of yellow sand, blocking each of these attacks.

The gigantic axe descended from the sky and struck the city wall.

The thunderous sound accompanied by violent shaking caused the wall to begin collapsing.

After holding back for so long, the beastmen below finally let out a triumphant roar.

They had been obstructed by this wall for too long; too many comrades had died beneath it. They despised this wall, which was as hard as the stars in the sky, impervious to all attacks.

But now, it had fallen.
