“Boss.”

As An Dian was bringing Ye Zhongming and Zizikaba back, they encountered a patrol team. Initially, there was not much vigilance because they were subordinates of An Dian, but when they saw the unfamiliar numbers on the two mechanical battle armors, their movements slowed down a bit.

“Don’t interfere in matters that are not your concern,” An Dian promptly reprimanded, “Remember one thing about today: observe more, say less, and don’t ask questions.”

Upon hearing this from their leader, they instinctively obeyed the command.

An Dian called over the leader of the squad and said quietly, “Gather the other captains later, stay alert for my messages, and pay attention to the movements of those other teams outside. There are reports that someone is planning trouble, so everyone stay sharp.”

The squad leader nodded immediately.

Today’s operation had a mysterious air to it; several teams that had no previous connections were called to guard a not-so-large warehouse without any explanation, and they had no idea what they were to protect. Even the zones they were guarding overlapped with those of other teams.

Such a situation was unthinkable under normal circumstances.

Moreover, they rarely took on tasks on the first floor. Even this time, they had started on the second floor, and suddenly being moved to the first floor was already strange enough.

Now that their boss had said so, the squad leader felt he understood a bit more and quickly nodded in agreement. He led his team to continue patrolling with heightened vigilance, and as for the two unfamiliar individuals brought by the boss, he had already guessed their identities in his mind.

An Dian directly brought the two back to his temporary command center and called in a person. After a moment, the person left, and a while later, over a dozen mechanical battle armors arrived, led by the two other leaders who had numbers still ahead of An Dian.

These individuals were about to enter the room but were stopped by An Dian’s men, who indicated that their subordinates could not enter. After a brief negotiation, the two leaders entered by themselves.

After some time, a sound came from inside. The guards, unsure of what was happening, rushed in only to find nothing amiss. The bosses waved for them to wait outside, and the three leaders left without bringing any guards.

On the colorful light barrier, the auction for the Reaper of Restraint had entered its final stage.

Now, only three families remained in the bidding, and the price of eight billion Moon Age Gold had already caused most of the super powerful clans to withdraw from the competition.

Even for them, such money was not something they could produce casually.

Among the remaining three, the first two were not surprising: the Lena People and the Hall People. The third family was unexpected; they were the Musk Ke People.

Many people were very surprised. How could the Musk Ke People, who had always kept a low profile, have such financial power to compete with the two clans?

“Gentlemen, the Musk Ke People value this highly, could you please yield?”

The one who had only been bidding without speaking, Bei Yin, suddenly turned to the representatives of the other two major clans standing a distance away.

The representatives of the Lena People and Hall People were not their clan leaders; the former sent their first princess, and the latter sent their first elder.

Everyone was taken aback by Bei Yin’s sudden interjection, including the Tarros Red Dwarf and the representatives from the other two clans.

Heiting Yanting frowned and opened his mouth but didn’t say anything.

If it had been earlier, he would have certainly stopped such behavior. Until the final price was determined, talking among each other was likely to raise suspicions of collusion.

But now it was different; only three parties remained as competitors, and none would yield simply because of a few words from another. In the end, it was a matter of who had more funds on hand.
