“Now let's talk about the second piece of divine level equipment.” Heiting Yanting opened the second box, pulling the people from Divine Artisan City back from the shock brought by the Reaper of Restraint.
This box was significantly larger than the first one, leading many to speculate that what was inside should be a long weapon.
Although at the divine level, the capabilities and enhancements of weapons or other equipment parts are not much different, it mainly depends on the quality of the equipment itself. However, people's longing for attack always surpasses that for defense and support, making weapons easier to accept. This is why items of the same level tend to be a bit more expensive if they are weapons.
Having seen the Reaper of Restraint, everyone knew it was an excellent item, but it clearly wasn't user-friendly and required a period of practice. So many were looking forward to this one, as long weapons are favorites for many.
But when the box was opened, many were first disappointed, then their eyes lit up.
“Thunderbolt Glimmering Wings!”
Before Heiting Yanting could say anything, many people called out the name.
“It seems everyone recognizes it.” Heiting Yanting smiled and said, “I know this piece of equipment has some fame; I just didn’t expect so many people to remember it after all these years.”
Heiting Yanting had reason to say this. The piece of divine level equipment known as Thunderbolt Glimmering Wings is quite well-known, with several battle tales surrounding it. The most famous one occurred when a Survivor Fortress experienced a deviation during its movement, mistakenly entering a certain star system and getting trapped there for several cosmic years due to gravitational effects.
During those years, certain planets in this star system had life forms capable of attacking from the ground to targets in space, bombarding each Survivor Fortress with this immense energy.
The speed at which the Survivor Fortresses escaped was not fast. If they ignored these attacks, it was possible that any of the Survivor Fortresses would be breached, a city might face annihilation, or even the entire fortress could crash down.
Consequently, after discussions among the All Races of the Universe, an offensive was launched against the planets in this star system that had long-range attacking life forms.
It was a battle that lasted nearly two years, during which many lives were lost. In the most critical battle, a peak expert from the Tarros Red Dwarf wore this piece of divine level equipment and played an extremely vital role in the fight. He became famous for his battle alongside the Thunderbolt Glimmering Wings.
In simple terms, Thunderbolt Glimmering Wings is an auxiliary piece of equipment with offensive capabilities. Its two main characteristics are that it grants the wearer the ability to fly and is incredibly fast.
So fast that it is nearly akin to teleportation.
Additionally, when in use, it is always accompanied by the sound of thunder.
These are the distinct features everyone is aware of; the rest is something only Heiting Yanting can explain.
“Glimmering Flight. The user will gain the ability to fly and will passively have rapid movement capabilities. As a characteristic, this ability does not consume the user's stamina or mental energy, only controlled by intent, with the landing point determined by the user's gaze.”
“Thunder. When this equipment moves, it automatically generates thunder sounds that create a mental shock to the target. The effect can stack, and at a certain moment, the user can actively trigger it to produce a strong mental impact. The target can be a single person or a group. When targeting an individual, it does not require the user to expend stamina or energy, but when targeting a group, it does require corresponding mental energy.”
These two abilities are well-known and closely aligned with what everyone expected, but they also exceeded expectations. After all, controlling the destination with one's gaze and the thunder being passively condensed are not traits typical of ordinary equipment.
