In the Star-Eye Clan, there is a very special place known as the Bronze Camp.
This was originally Ye Zhongming's territory.
From the moment Ye Zhongming arrived and took control, to nearly a year later, the Bronze Camp has become stronger under his leadership. The people here have gradually moved from rejection to acceptance, and now they truly see Ye Zhongming as their leader.
However, the more they idolize him, the more confused they become at this moment.
Everyone can feel the change in the clan's attitude toward Ye Zhongming.
Many warriors think simply; they trust whoever treats them well, whoever can make them stronger, and whoever is worth their loyalty.
They trust Ye Zhongming, and this has been proven and rewarded through several battles.
The atmosphere in the room was tense. Zhong Hongke sat in a prominent position, while the others were scattered around.
Wu Qian and the others glanced at each other, realizing no one was willing to speak first.
“The clan is holding a meeting with the leaders of various clans, and the senior members have all gone, but our commander is not here,” said a thousand-person commander in a calm tone, although everyone could sense his dissatisfaction.
“Of course, they wouldn’t let our commander go; if he went, how could things still be stirred up?” Another commander replied, his tone much worse, laced with obvious sarcasm.
“Lord Vice Commander, I heard that someone is being dispatched from above this time, is that right?”
Jie Kui, who had been silent in the corner, suddenly spoke up.
He was one of Ye Zhongming's closest aides and hadn’t intended to attend this meeting. If the consensus reached here would be detrimental to Ye Zhongming, he would definitely oppose it; if it was beneficial, he would still support it. His attitude was so clear that it made no difference whether he came or not. Coming might even prevent others from expressing their true opinions.
However, he was still dragged along by the others, which perhaps reflected the attitude of these thousand-person commanders.
Zhong Hongke glanced at Jie Kui and nodded, “It’s not just one person being dispatched; it’s four. One will serve as vice commander, one will take the place of the sixth thousand-person commander who died in battle, and the other two... will enter the Assault Camp reserve to replace Voguel and Zhengqu, who also died in battle.”
Upon hearing this, the room erupted. The thousand-person commanders and the two leaders of the Assault Camp began to discuss among themselves, and their attitudes were unanimous: rejection.
Ye Zhongming is still the Bronze Commander, yet they are starting to bypass him to insert people into the Bronze Camp? This is too dismissive of their feelings; it shows a complete disregard for the people of the Bronze Camp.
After the recent planetary battlefield, the entire Bronze Camp performed exceptionally well. It could be said they underwent a forging process, and the whole team was different from before.
According to their expectations, they would reach the standard of the Silver Camp within two years, and their combat power would exceed that.
But such hopeful expectations were dashed with the clan's changing attitude toward Ye Zhongming, leaving the warriors of the Bronze Camp unsure of their direction.
Hearing now that the clan wanted to interfere with the appointments in the Bronze Camp, their anger was understandable.
“I know what you all are thinking, and to be honest, I think the same,” Zhong Hongke spoke, silencing the others.
“Lord Commander hasn’t done anything wrong to the clan, yet he has received inexplicable treatment. This is indeed perplexing and infuriating, even... disheartening.”
“But what should we do now? Should we confront the two gentlemen of the Star-Eye Clan? Or should we directly follow Lord Commander to his manor? Completely sever ties with the Star-Eye Clan?”
Everyone listened but couldn’t think of what to do.
“If we were the Gold Camp, I wouldn’t be sitting here discussing this with you. I would take you directly to the clan leader; as long as Lord Commander hasn't betrayed the clan, then no one can let him suffer!”
