"You are very slow!"
Lord Kunz said with an unhappy expression as he saw the people from the Su Clan and the Alliance of Small Races approaching.
Strictly speaking, Ye Zhongming and the others did not break their promise; they mentioned a few minutes, and three minutes is within that range. Nine minutes is also within that range, but the difference is several times.
So as long as it didn't exceed ten minutes, Kunz could only express a bit of dissatisfaction.
Ye Zhongming smiled and apologized, already standing at the front of the line.
Kunz glanced at the people opposite him, feeling something was off.
He sensed that the overall atmosphere was somewhat different. Previously, these people harbored hatred toward him. Although no one dared to show it because of his peak expert status, that feeling could not be concealed.
Kunz would not get angry; he even somewhat enjoyed that feeling of being resented yet helpless.
Being able to make others only endure was also a reflection of one's abilities, and Kunz had always believed this.
However, now, the anger of these people had diminished significantly, replaced instead by... a calmness, even excitement.
Could it be that this person named Ye Zhongming really persuaded them to accept the previous conditions or willingly reopen negotiations?
As this thought crossed his mind, a cold smile appeared at the corner of Kunz’s mouth.
Although he was unwilling to escalate the conflict further, it would be best if things stopped here. Yet, Kunz knew that the initiative was still in his hands.
If he displayed toughness, the other side would naturally soften. His identity and strength would exert great pressure on them, making it normal for them to restart negotiations without accurately judging Kunz's intentions.
Kunz was almost certain that the other party wanted to renegotiate; they likely wouldn't mind spending a little more money to avoid further conflict.
So, how much would be appropriate? Sixty billion? Or... sixty-five?
Kunz kept weighing the other party’s payment capability in his mind.
"Lord Kunz, we have discussed this matter. We believe the issue this time was ultimately caused by a misunderstanding. However, the losses caused to the Hall People are evident. How about we add two hundred million Moon Age Gold as compensation for the guilt, based on fifty-five billion?"
Ye Zhongming slightly bowed, even lowering his gaze.
Kunz's eyes narrowed as he stared at Ye Zhongming.
He vividly remembered how this rookie, who had called forth three peak experts with a wave of his hand and forced him to compromise, would now bend to him.
He found it strange.
If this was true, then this person was genuinely capable of both yielding and resisting, which made him quite formidable. If it were false, then... what was his intent?
"Sixty-five billion!" Kunz said while observing Ye Zhongming, directly raising the price by ten billion.
To his surprise, Ye Zhongming nodded in agreement, meeting Kunz's gaze.
"Is money really that easy to spend?"
The King of Cloud Summit straightened up, and the smile that had made Kunz feel somewhat pleased vanished without a trace.
"Oh, do you want to fight? With you?"
Kunz asked sarcastically, "Are you taking advantage of my injury?"
Unexpectedly, Ye Zhongming nodded, "Yes."
As he spoke, a bright star mark suddenly appeared above Kunz's head, and at the same time, a massive five-star mark materialized beside him without any warning.
Not only did the star mark appear without warning, but Ye Zhongming's attack also came without any indication.
He indeed had a highly charged conversation with Kunz, but the Hall People truly did not believe he would dare to make a move.
Everyone acknowledged that Ye Zhongming was strong, and even the Hall People currently recognized it.
However, he was ultimately just a person who was not even a peak expert, and the ability to summon several peak experts before must have had extremely harsh conditions; it would be in a cooldown state now and for a long time to come.
