Uncle Hai knocked on the white-level smoking pot on the ground beside him and smacked his lips a few times.
On the other side, Young Master Yun, dressed in leather pants and a colorful outfit, rolled his eyes at this rural old man. In his eyes, this kind of person seemed to live in the deep mountains and forests of forty years ago.
“Kid, don’t look like you’ve lost your parents and dislike this old man? Let me tell you, if you were my grandson, I’d cut off all that dye in your hair,” Uncle Hai snorted, looking at Young Master Yun, the so-called leader of the Starved Tiger Knights, without holding back.
“What the hell are you talking about, old man?”
“Speak more politely to our boss!”
“Old fossil, I’ll kill you!”
Behind Young Master Yun were a group of followers of similar age, all dressed in strange attire. Just over a month since the apocalypse began, their clothes were a bit dirty, making them look even more ridiculous.
Behind Uncle Hai stood the warriors from East Mountain Mouth Village who had come this time. Hearing the disrespectful remarks from these kids, their anger flared up, and both sides immediately confronted each other.
The Starved Tiger Knights had about seventy to eighty members, which was their entire number. Every one of them was an 'apocalypse warrior'; some held guns, while others wielded knives or axes, each riding motorcycles, showcasing considerable combat strength.
Moreover, Young Master Yun and a few leaders were professionals, and it was said that their professions were quite powerful. They had once clashed with a team from Tech City and nearly killed Da Kai, who was already a two-star evolver.
The Starved Tiger Knights became famous overnight, making everyone aware of this non-mainstream youth team that had nearly forty one-star evolvers, and no one dared to underestimate them.
On the other hand, East Mountain Mouth Village certainly had higher-end combat power compared to the Starved Tiger Knights. They had three two-star evolvers, and even the number of one-star evolvers was over ten more than the Starved Tigers. However, they had very few professionals, only two in total.
Both sides had their advantages and disadvantages, so neither was afraid of the other.
Just as both sides were beginning to stand off, a sound of hooves approached from behind. Everyone turned their heads to see a team of only two hundred people rapidly coming over. At the front were more than twenty strong horses, and every rider had a Red Tassel Spear strapped to their backs. If it weren’t for their modern-style clothing, one might think ancient cavalry had arrived.
“Old Lou!”
Uncle Hai waved his hand to greet the approaching group, signaling his villagers to put down their weapons.
In fact, both he and Young Master Yun knew that fighting was absolutely not an option right now, as there was a massive fortune before them, waiting to be plundered.
One man in his fifties, robust and strong, jumped off his horse. He had a resolute face and scanned the crowd before finally nodding at Uncle Hai and revealing a slight smile.
Young Master Yun saw this man, the head of the Lou family from Lake Heart Island, and lazily greeted him. However, when he caught sight of a woman in red on the horse behind, he immediately turned into a wide grin and approached her, suddenly losing all authority as he playfully chatted with the girl.
“Spirit Girl, it’s been a while! When are you coming over to play? I’ve got a lot of new and interesting things!”
This red-clad girl was indeed very beautiful, but her features showed a bit of an unpleasant temperament as she huffed, “You want me to go over to smell the cement?”
Many warriors from the Lou family laughed, making Young Master Yun feel a bit embarrassed.
Setting aside the actual strength of the two factions, just looking at their base locations, the Starved Tiger Knights’ dusty cement factory was several notches below the picturesque Lake Heart Island of the Lou family.
“Let’s talk about something serious,” Lou Zhengxiao, the head of the Lou family, looked at Young Master Yun with some displeasure, hinting that he shouldn’t disturb his niece.
