“Gone? Where did they go?”
The Mechanical Genius had finally gained entry to the base with the permission of those left behind in the Layered Water Desolation, only to learn that everyone Ye Zhongming asked him to find had left.
From Huo Zhi to the two lords of the Star-Eye Clan, and then to Commander Cheng Liujin, all had departed the stationed area, not a single one remaining!
After a moment of reflection, he weighed his options and then inquired about the direction they had taken, intending to pursue them himself.
The one left behind was a deputy commander of the Gold Camp. Upon learning that this person was from the same home planet as Ye Zhongming, he began to believe him a little. However, the person, who always remained within the mechanical battle beast, was quite tight-lipped about what message Ye Zhongming needed to relay.
The deputy commander didn’t press further, feeling that it wouldn't make a difference since he had already guessed the gist of the information. With Ye Zhongming and Pao Bai together, sending this person to relay a message could only mean one thing: there was a ninety percent chance that they were all safe and that the camp should not act rashly!
But now, the army had already set out!
He ordered the Mechanical Genius and the little girl accompanying him to rest, and immediately dispatched people to pursue!
He issued a strict command to the hundred soldiers: no matter what, they must catch up to the main forces, as this concerned the lives of over 160,000 soldiers!
Aside from the tens of thousands who stayed in the camp, over 160,000 members of the Su Clan and small tribes had set out. While others were unaware of their true purpose, the deputy commander knew.
If the situation demanded that the Star-Eye Clan fight desperately, then so be it; they had been living like this for years.
However, if it could be avoided, especially against the Hall People who had a peak expert and a bunch of high-level experts, it was better not to fight.
Due to his responsibilities, he couldn’t leave, and since he didn't know anyone from the Su Clan, he could only send out the best hundred Star-Eye Clan soldiers to carry messages and catch up with the main forces.
The Mechanical Genius, upon learning this, did not rest either and followed the hundred soldiers as they departed.
The deputy commander stood under the Armor Pressure Sky Cover, watching the figures gradually disappear ahead, silently sighing.
Hopefully, they would be in time.

Pao Bai dodged two energy shockwaves coming from behind, rolling to the side and hiding in the shadow of a pile of supplies, disappearing into the night, leaving behind thousands of pursuers.
When he reappeared, he had already completed several kills and ignited two tents.
The darkness granted Pao Bai immense freedom, allowing him to fully utilize the characteristics of the Star-Eye Clan.
As Jie Su attracted eight high-level experts to intercept him, there were very few threats within the camp that could pose a danger to Pao Bai.
The silver commander of the Star-Eye Clan was enjoying his killing spree.
He drank a vial of potion and rested for a moment in a dark corner that no one would have expected, then took out a spare weapon, ready to continue his hunting journey.
But suddenly, Pao Bai stopped in his tracks, took two steps back, and looked towards a corner of the area, where a light barrier photo album had been knocked over at some unknown time. The focus wasn't on the slow-moving images and photos displayed, but rather the time indicated above.
“Wait... has it really been so many days??” Pao Bai looked at the display, astonished.
In his and Ye Zhongming's sense of time, the consecutive trials felt continuous. It should have only been two or three days at most, and that was considering that Ye Zhongming had been delayed for a long time while researching equipment disassembly.
But in reality, it seemed that was not the case. They had evidently spent much more time on these trials than they felt.
