In the fourth trial, Ye Zhongming refreshed the black earth armor on his body. He glanced at Pao Bai and the white dragon horse, both of whom had lost their combat effectiveness, as well as Jie Su, who was struggling to maintain the adaptable formation in front of him. With a hint of helplessness, he shook his head.
Indeed, rewards were not easily obtained.
Even though they had made some preparations, the intensity of the trial was overwhelming to the point of numbness after it began. Jie Su's adaptable formation had made some breakthroughs; the two formations above him had evolved from intermediate formations. Under his enhancement, their power was tremendous, and because he mastered a large number of formations, he could fully decide which type to use based on the nature of the trial.
The targeted adaptable formations naturally produced great effects. Although Jie Su's contribution wasn't as significant as when Ye Zhongming transformed, it still withstood more than half of the parasite attacks.
However, at this moment, Pao Bai and the white dragon horse had already fought to the point of losing their combat ability and were severely injured. Ye Zhongming was not in good shape either; all his equipment was destroyed, and he could only rely on the earth armor to protect himself. In the face of the parasite attacks, he could only fight with bare hands or use some sharp parts left behind by the parasites after they died.
Even so, Ye Zhongming and Jie Su still could not see any hope. The parasites around them continued to surge like a tide.
At this point, there was nothing they could do but keep fighting. The full recovery slow-release agent had already been consumed, the elemental tokens had been used up, and even the other potions they carried had been significantly depleted.
Yet, the injuries of the two who could still fight continued to worsen.
They had tested that the equipment and potions exchanged from the reward pool were mutually usable. However, knowing this seemed of little use since they had no idea if they could hold on until the next trial.
Ye Zhongming had unleashed all his firepower, using the assistance of the elemental spirit and the abilities of the Dominion Equipment. By the end, both Ye Zhongming and Jie Su had forgotten everything, fighting purely on instinct.
It was only at one moment that they realized the surroundings had seemingly quieted down, and at that point, they discovered that all the parasites had been killed.
They had narrowly survived the first round of the second stage trial.
When they returned to the mountain's interior, the three people and one dragon felt as if they were reborn.
There was no need to mention the gruesome state they were in; the white dragon horse’s saddle was destroyed, missing nearly half of its body, and it had just fainted without any chance to use the Reverse Battle Agent. Fortunately, the rebel dragon race's vitality was robust; otherwise, it would have long been dead.
Pao Bai fared even worse, losing both hands and barely hanging on when he returned. Jie Su and Ye Zhongming were relatively better, with the former losing one eye and the latter suffering a crushed left hip, barely able to walk straight.
This time, the healing process took a bit longer. Even though everyone had woken up, they lay on the ground unwilling to move, while the white dragon horse flew up slightly, seemingly checking if a certain part was still usable.
The reward points were announced quickly. The white dragon horse, despite still being the lowest, received 56 points, followed by Pao Bai with 70 points, then Ye Zhongming and Jie Su with 278 and 329 points respectively.
In terms of fuleira, the white dragon horse gained 10 points, Pao Bai gained 15 points, while Ye Zhongming and Jie Su both gained 13 points.
Although the rewards exceeded those from any previous encounters, the three remained somewhat disinterested.
Currently, the one with the most points was Ye Zhongming at 519, followed by Jie Su with 417, then Pao Bai at 156, and finally the white dragon horse with 86 points.
