A significant matter had been settled, one that appeared to be far more important than the planet hunting grounds in the eyes of the Star-Eye Clan.
It seemed that the Star-Eye Clan suddenly had a goal.
The ordinary warriors were still unaware of what was happening; they only sensed that the higher-ups were displaying a mixture of pride, unease, anticipation, and a faint, elusive killing intent.
They didn't know why, but they could feel that something monumental was about to happen.
"Zhong Ming, these formations were set up by the Su Clan, so make sure you don't mess them up," Pao Bai casually remarked to Ye Zhongming while squatting on the ground.
This was a sign of their mutual comfort; they would not lose their warmth simply because they had helped each other. Instead, they could step up when needed and generously take the fall.
"When have I ever missed?" Ye Zhongming chuckled.
"Can we not boast?" Pao Bai rolled his eyes.
While arranging the formations, Ye Zhongming explained, "The Su Clan's formations have priority levels. As long as we don't disrupt each other's formation patterns and formation eyes, they can be stacked. However, when activated, only one can be used at a time. If activated simultaneously, only the highest-level formation will take effect."
As he laid down various materials, onlookers might have mistaken him for a member of the Su Clan.
Pao Bai had no interest in these formations; he only cared that they would be useful against enemies.
He glanced up at the towering Armor Pressure Sky Cover, feeling a sense of reverence towards this massive structure that had already been completed.
Occasionally, beams of light shot out from it, triggered by the appearance of mutated life forms within the Armor Pressure Sky Cover’s range that had come under attack.
It was said that on the day it was built, the attacks from the Armor Pressure Sky Cover were not at full capacity, only about thirty percent at most...
After learning that information, Pao Bai had a deeper understanding of why Ye Zhongming had chosen Layered Water Desolation.
With such a powerful weapon, there was truly nothing to fear. This thing was at least as effective as one of the Su Clan's top ten formations, and these were the kinds that could achieve near-perfect power when laid out by Huo Zhi or the Su Clan Leader.
"You say that, but I don’t understand. Just tell me, you’ve been busy all day, missing several hunts, what’s the use of these formations?"
Pao Bai projected the image of having a volatile temper, always ready to fight to the death. Yet when alone, he was incredibly quiet, reading, training, or zoning out. When with true friends, he would loosen up and occasionally show off a bit.
It wasn't that he was particularly split in personality; it was just that the previous situation of the Star-Eye Clan required someone like him, and sometimes Pao Bai had little choice.
Now, with Ye Zhongming around and all the events that had transpired in recent days, the Star-Eye Clan was improving day by day, allowing Pao Bai to feel his burdens lighten.
As a result, his previously suppressed personality began to surface.
In battle, he remained that crazy fighter, but at other times, he was increasingly just Pao Bai.
"What’s the haul like?"
Instead of directly answering the question, he inquired about the results from the recent hunts.
It was unclear whether it was due to the scare that mutated life forms had received during the landing battle, but since that fight ended, they hadn’t launched a large-scale attack on the two hundred thousand people in Layered Water Desolation. Instead, only scattered life forms had been harassing the camp through a few small paths, but they couldn't stir up any big waves.
Such tranquility was rare, so over the past couple of days, the stabilized warriors from various clans organized several hunting outings. Although the harvest was not substantial, it was mainly due to the small scale of the engagements. The Star-Eye Clan also participated, yielding some gains.
