CHAPTER TEXT:

The Radiant Tang Clan sent a large group of people to the farmland not far from Dark Strip City.

It wasn’t that the light barrier obscured their vision; rather, they felt that only by seeing it with their own eyes could they truly believe it.

Currently, the situation for All Races of the Universe was not lacking in food; after all, there was still a fair amount of land available. Each race possessed a certain amount of arable land to cultivate the food crops they needed.

As one of the eight major clans in Dark Strip City, the Radiant Tang Clan also had vast tracts of farmland, which was a good place for some of the clan members who lacked any cultivation talent.

After the high-ranking members arrived at the grain fields, what met their eyes was a scene of devastation.

"What... what happened here?!" The clan leader's voice was deep, barely concealing his rage. He did not shout loudly but coldly glared at the person in charge, wishing he could slap him to death.

"I... I..." The person in charge stammered, frightened.

It wasn’t entirely his fault; his own strength was weak, and he was far from the clan leader’s level. With a master glaring at him in anger, it was natural for him to feel terrified.

He also understood the current situation of the clan—the Blue Grain had been bought out, and the entire clan was waiting for the harvest of this grain to rescue them. Who would have thought that everything would be destroyed in one go? This meant the clan could potentially face a food shortage, and the responsibility was too great for him to bear.

Thinking of the punishment he would face, perhaps even death, he could no longer hold it in and fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face.

“Useless thing.”

With a wave of his hand, the clan leader sent the man flying far away, lying on the ground, convulsing, uncertain if he would survive.

“Is there any footage from the sky-monitoring system?” the clan leader asked.

“It was destroyed,” the previous person in charge’s assistant replied, though his words were smooth, he was drenched in sweat at that moment.

“Tell me everything you know.”

“Yes.” The assistant began to recount the events.

“I was the duty officer for today. I was supposed to hand over duties at six, but at four, Lord Grain suddenly sent me a message saying something was wrong and instructed me to bring people over. By the time I arrived with my team at four-forty, the grain fields to the east, south, and west had already been damaged. The methods were different; the one closest to our camp had been attacked using the internal withering technique, the east side was infested with the No-Hole Worms, and the west was burned with ground refining fire.”

The clan leader and others arrived near the management camp of the grain fields, and before them lay vast patches of withered Blue Grain seedlings. They knew it was caused by some kind of technique, but they didn’t expect it to be the internal withering technique.

“Internal withering technique?” The clan leader moved forward, landing dozens of meters away in the grain field, casually picking up an oval fruit the size of a palm. When he scratched the surface with his nail, it should have been filled with Blue Grain kernels, but now it was just a pile of ashes.

“&……%¥……#” The clan leader cursed in fury.

The internal withering technique was not an ordinary ability; it was a power that struck fear into all races of the universe.

Once someone was hit by this ability, a force would surge into their body, continuously corroding and burning their internal organs. If the strength difference between the two parties was not too great, the force would not directly kill someone but would instead plunge them into immense suffering. If not treated with some special medicine or specific racial abilities, this torment would accompany the target throughout their life. Once the power within them could no longer resist this ability, they would wither away, leaving behind only a shell, while all internal organs would be turned to ash.
