Chapter 2060: Ninth Level Green-Skin Monster 🟩

Published: February 12, 2025

Chapter

In the "Two-in-One Chapter," Zhang Jialun shouted as he swung his fist, but it missed the beast-shaped parasite in front of him, drifting further away from the target.

He turned around, glaring at the person who pulled him back.

It was a tall warrior dressed in all green gear, with a determined gaze.

This person did not respond to Zhang Jialun immediately. Instead, he raised his Magic Crystal Gun and fired several shots at the target ahead. The beast-shaped parasite trembled under the impact, its flesh being stripped away until its body exploded into several pieces.

"Life isn't meant to be fought like this."

Even after more than eight years into the apocalypse, many people had one or two pieces of green gear. However, those who could be fully equipped in green and wield the latest model Magic Crystal Guns were only the Cloud Summit warriors.

"Stay in position. A logistics team will be coming up soon. You can grab a green-grade weapon from there. Just say it's from Guangyao Squad Captain Niu Zhan from Team Three, and I'll report it on my end."

Zhang Jialun was taken aback, but the Cloud Summit warrior named Niu Zhan had already rushed forward. Only then did he notice that there were nine other Cloud Summit warriors surrounding him, coordinating their attacks with the team he was part of.

At first, many other faction teams were worried when they arrived here, fearing they would be used as cannon fodder. After all, many people were not here by choice; they were semi-forced by the major teams of Cloud Summit.

But they had no choice but to come, as Cloud Summit was the true overlord and actual controller of the country. The consequences of not coming could be far worse than being here.

That sense of apprehension lingered until the battle truly began. Only then did they believe that Cloud Summit genuinely wanted their cooperation in the assault rather than using them as cannon fodder.

Zhang Jialun entered the battlefield with his team at the very start of the battle, naturally oblivious to many of Cloud Summit’s plans. However, the booming of the magic crystal cannon, the rockets flying overhead, and the self-destruct gene warriors dropping from the sky made him realize that Cloud Summit had always been there, clearing a path for them.

Cloud Summit could do these things, not just because of Zhang Jialun, a six-star evolver; other non-Cloud Summit faction members were quite satisfied.

Yet, they had not expected that Cloud Summit's main combat teams would enter the battlefield so quickly and fight alongside them.

And they could even receive a weapon? A green-grade one?

Like most evolvers in the apocalypse, Zhang Jialun considered weapons to be the best investment. His usual war knife was of green grade, but it had been destroyed in the recent battle by a powerful parasite, making him feel incredibly pained. Could he really get another one?

Cloud Summit’s weapons were famously good.

"Why are you dazed!" A hand slapped his shoulder, jolting Zhang Jialun. He didn't need to turn around to know it was his vice president, seven-star evolver Ai Dadu.

"The guy is gone, but the Cloud Summit people said they can give us one," Zhang Jialun said, turning his head and smiling upon seeing Ai Dadu.

It turned out that the vice president was also empty-handed; his weapon must have been destroyed.

"Damn it, these guys are tough!"

Zhang Jialun deeply resonated with the vice president's words.

In these more than eight years, he had fought against at least eight hundred different types of evolved beings, yet none had bodies as tough as these parasites. This was of course in a comparable level.

"It seems Cloud Summit was prepared for this; I've encountered several similar situations." As he spoke, the vice president looked enviously at the Cloud Summit warriors, who were all dressed in green gear, working in groups to engage in combat. The tactical training and combat power they displayed were indeed unmatched by other teams.

In no time, dozens of people had gathered around the vice president, mostly those whose weapons or key protective gear had been damaged. They were waiting for supplies from Cloud Summit’s logistics team before they could continue fighting.
