“Did you gain anything from your trip to the Library Palace this time?” Jikesu saw that everyone was lost in thought due to the issues regarding the resource planet, considering various factors and possibilities. He decided to change the topic.
There was no way around it; the Star Eye Clan had never experienced anything like this. Even if they had mined a resource planet in the past, it was so long ago that they had no recollection of it. Now, thinking about it wouldn’t yield immediate solutions. A special meeting would need to be called, involving more relevant individuals to brainstorm and address the issues for practical implementation.
Since that was the case, it would be better to discuss other issues while Ye Zhongming was still present. After all, everyone understood Ye Zhongming's working style by now. He would resolve whatever he could, and for the rest, he would leave it to others. It was clear that this time, he had taken care of the most challenging aspects of locating the resource planet, the spaceship routes, and funding. The other matters were obviously now for the Star Eye Clan to handle, and he estimated he would soon return to the Bronze Camp to do his own things.
Although the Star Eye Clan treated Ye Zhongming well, even exceptionally so, they couldn’t discuss the matter of the bookkeeper. Ye Zhongming smiled and said, “The gains are substantial. The Library Palace is far from being something the All Races of the Universe deem dispensable. It holds a vast amount of knowledge, which I see as treasure. I suggest that our Star Eye Clan send people there to study every so often.”
Everyone exchanged glances, surprised that Jikesu’s comment had led to such a suggestion.
“Well, going to the Library Palace for study isn’t cheap,” Jikesu said, slightly embarrassed.
In fact, people from various races did still visit the Library Palace every year, though not as many as before when appointments were necessary. There were still quite a few visitors; otherwise, how could the Library Palace be so wealthy?
However, there was an issue: if they only used low-level permissions to study there, the amount of knowledge they could acquire would be limited. Purchasing high-level permissions was prohibitively expensive.
“I’ll handle the financial aspect. Every thirty days, we’ll send fifty people from the clan to the Library Palace for study. It’s best if they go with a purpose. I’ll also send fifty people from the Bronze Camp. Initially, we should aim for grade B permissions. Some special members, like those on the verge of promotion or who urgently need certain abilities, can apply for grade A permissions.”
If it weren’t for the fear of raising suspicion, Ye Zhongming would have directly granted all these clan members grade A permissions. Nevertheless, this still left everyone present in utter shock.
Grade B permissions were already quite expensive, and sending a hundred people every thirty days while allowing for grade A applications would cost a fortune.
Furthermore, from Ye Zhongming’s tone, it seemed he intended to normalize sending people to the Library Palace. Just considering travel costs, lodging, and reading fees—how much Moon Age Gold would that consume?
“Don’t worry, I have the money,” Ye Zhongming said, knowing he needed to provide a reasonable explanation. As he spoke, he took something out of his spatial equipment.
“Everyone, take a look at this.”
It was a single-sided arm protector that had a bronze color and was accompanied by a small arm shield.
In this situation, the most qualified to evaluate it was Jikesu. He picked up the equipment, examined it from various angles, and then tapped on some parts. After a moment, he confidently stated, “Crimson condensation level, Tarros Red Dwarf equipment. Kid, you auctioned off the seven pieces of crimson condensation level gear before, and now you’ve gone to the Library Palace again. Where did this come from?”
Jack Su held the arm guard with the shield. Although the craftsmanship was somewhat rough and many parts showed signs of inexperience, it was undeniably a piece of crimson condensation level equipment manufactured by the Tarros Red Dwarf. The distinctive Tarros Red Dwarf techniques were evident, and the shortcomings in detail were likely due to a novice’s work.
