Jie Su paused with the utensils in hand and then resumed eating slowly and gracefully. After a moment, he said, "Be more clear."
Ye Zhongming leaned back, adjusted his posture to make himself more comfortable.
"You know, one of the rewards I got for being the top newbie is that the Star-Eye Clan can open a planetary battlefield."
Jie Su nodded. This was similar to the reading rights in the Library Palace; both were fixed rewards, the difference being one was personal and the other was for the represented race.
"I want the decision-making power for the opening time."
Jie Su raised an eyebrow, tilting his head in confusion. The planetary battlefield was, in fact, a more dangerous newbie battlefield, where lifeforms, even the indigenous ones, were very powerful. To conquer such planets would inevitably require the strength of the race, as individual power was relatively insignificant.
He couldn't understand what Ye Zhongming wanted with this decision-making power; did it really make that much difference if it opened a bit earlier or later in terms of benefits?
Also, how did this relate to what he had said about being able to eat here without worries?
"I plan to open the planet hunting grounds in a month and a half, and I hope the Su Clan can participate as allies of the Star-Eye Clan."
Although the Su Clan's individual combat power was not strong, their understanding of formations was truly unique. After witnessing the power of those formations, Ye Zhongming felt that these people were not only natural defenders but also the best partners for development.
As long as they were given a piece of land and a bit of time, they could repay you with a sky. Such powerful teammates were extremely precious.
Jie Su frowned.
Participating in the planet hunting grounds shouldn't be an issue for the clan, but partnering with the Star-Eye Clan was another matter entirely. After all, Jie Su's personal will was not enough to influence the Su Clan's decisions.
"Is that all?"
Seeing Ye Zhongming's expression, Jie Su felt that this young man wouldn't just make this one request, as this decision didn't really connect with his earlier statement about being able to eat here without worries.
"Do you have a way to get some aircraft? The kind that can obtain flight rights?"
Jie Su's eyes widened in surprise as he asked Ye Zhongming, "What are you trying to do? What use do you have for these things?"
"Of course they are useful! Do you have a way or not? If you don't, then I'll have to talk to your Su Clan, and in that case, you probably won't get to eat here much more often."
Ye Zhongming said with a smile.
Jie Su's gaze swept across Ye Zhongming's face, as if trying to glean something from it.
"Stop looking, I've had an idea that needs your support."
Ye Zhongming stopped being mysterious and began to explain his purpose to Jie Su.
"After coming out of the newbie battlefield, I reflected on all the rewards and then found some relevant materials, which made me interested in certain things, like resource planets."
Jie Su was initially focused, but when he heard Ye Zhongming mention resource planets, and connecting it with his previous request for a ship and flight routes, he immediately understood what he meant.
He shook his head directly and said, "I'm telling you, all the resource planets are occupied by various races and factions. Do you really want to fly a ship to steal from them? That's absolutely impossible."
Jie Su felt that Ye Zhongming didn’t quite understand the situation, which was why he had such an impractical idea.
Who knew that Ye Zhongming would shake his head and say, "No, they haven't completely occupied them; there's one planet that is unclaimed."
Jie Su was confused. To his knowledge, there weren't any unclaimed resource planets at all.
"Seventy years ago, a resource planet occupied by the Hall People was abandoned due to changes in the Slave Clan. It was too close to the Slave Clan's area, so they had to give it up. At that time, eighty percent of the proven reserves had already been extracted, and most of the resources were depleted. Later, when the Slave Clan changed positions again, although it re-entered a safe star region, it was already at the extreme edge. To transport a large amount of manpower and machines there for the remaining twenty percent of the resources would be costly. The Hall People abandoned it because they could seize a brand new resource planet with the same time and effort."
