“Ask Jie Bang from the manufacturing area.”

The Old Dean said to the person who had been standing motionless in the corner of the room, as if he had not existed for a day. That person immediately disappeared from the room.

“Is it still necessary to rely on manpower for communication? It wastes time and is too inefficient...”

“But it’s safe.”

Zizikaba hadn't finished speaking when he was interrupted by the Old Dean, leaving him to shrug and say nothing. Since the intentions of the bookkeepers had changed, it was only natural to guard against the other workers in the Library Palace, and there was nothing wrong with that.

Soon, that person returned and reported that Ye Zhongming had indeed changed books, providing the names of the books he had read before and the one he was currently reading.

The Old Dean's previous anger and disappointment vanished, replaced by a hope he had never felt before.

Zizikaba didn’t understand manufacturing and had naturally never heard of the names of these two books. He looked at the Old Dean, hoping he would explain.

“One of the books he read was a mid-level theory on manufacturing, quite basic, but it posed considerable difficulty for someone who just came from the home planet. He must have learned the primary theory while studying with the Star-Eye Clan. That Jikesu person has decent talent; he would likely have better development in other clans, but he has been delayed in a place full of assassins.”

Zizikaba was not surprised by the Old Dean's words, but if others had heard this, they would be utterly shocked.

This was because a technical person from a nearly extinct small clan was acknowledged by the highest authority of the Library Palace, the Old Dean. This indicated at least two things: first, the Library Palace has a timely external intelligence source system, and second, it is almost monitoring every race in the All Races of the Universe.

“The second book he is reading is still a mid-level theory, but it is a bit more profound than the previous one. The two books are connected in content.”

Upon hearing this from the Old Dean, Zizikaba understood. Ye Zhongming had comprehended the first book and then proceeded to read the second, rather than discarding it because he didn’t understand it.

The Old Dean's earlier anger and disappointment were likely due to this misunderstanding.

Now, even Zizikaba became interested and watched Ye Zhongming on the light barrier with the Old Dean.

Half an hour later, Ye Zhongming changed books once again.

This time, before the Old Dean could even ask, Jie Bang from the equipment area took the initiative to send someone to inform Ye Zhongming of the name of the book he was changing to.

“Another mid-level theory, but with increased difficulty.”

The Old Dean sighed upon hearing this and continued, “All these books relate to equipment manufacturing. It seems his purpose is quite clear.”

Zizikaba nodded; upon arriving at the Library Palace, he entered the manufacturing area and only looked at books related to equipment manufacturing. It was evident he wanted to improve his manufacturing skills.

“However, theoretical knowledge cannot be learned overnight,” the Old Dean murmured, and then he fell silent.

Now that he knew what Ye Zhongming was doing, his anticipation grew even more. However, they couldn't just keep staring at him, so the Old Dean and Zizikaba began to play chess.

On the other hand, Ye Zhongming was rapidly reading mid-level manufacturing theory at a pace of one book every half hour.

The Old Dean believed that Ye Zhongming was reading and not truly studying; even with the brainpower of a top evolver, it was impossible to fully comprehend a complex and profound theoretical book in just half an hour.

He could gain some insights and at least understand what was going on when he encountered similar situations in the future.

By the time night fell, Ye Zhongming had read over twenty books, while the Old Dean and Zizikaba had played six games of chess, with Zizikaba still unable to escape the embarrassment of losing every game.
