Little Tiger was whistling, looking a bit disinterested ahead.
It hasn’t been long since Ye Zhongming left, but the normally playful and carefree youth was no longer youthful or mischievous; all that remained was maturity and… ruthlessness.
Since Cloud Summit began its unification campaign, many core members have displayed entirely different traits.
Some people are relatively gentle in their methods, like Mo Ye's team and Tang Tian's team. Before attacking a region, they prefer to use softer tactics to persuade, divide, and incite discord, ensuring that even if the area cannot be smoothly incorporated, it would at least be thrown into chaos, making it impossible to form a unified alliance. Then they would take it by force.
Others, like Liang Chuyin, Tong Hu, and Sister Rong, take a more thunderous approach. They prefer to declare war without notice and launch sudden attacks, wiping out the strongest forces in an area first, then using other methods to deal with the remaining forces. At that point, whether to continue the assault or pressure them into surrendering would be quite easy.
Most people, however, take a moderate approach.
This moderation doesn’t imply they are mediocre; rather, it means that when dealing with problems, they employ a variety of tactics, assessing situations individually, neither overly gentle nor overly aggressive.
But there is one person who is exceedingly radical.
That’s Little Tiger.
With the merging of Ten Thousand Beast Manor, the mount issue for Cloud Summit was greatly resolved. Although it couldn’t be said that they had as many mounts as desired, the situation had certainly improved from just a few thousand rideable beasts after a year of slow taming.
This allowed Little Tiger's cavalry to grow to a hundred thousand.
Among this number, naturally, twenty thousand were credited to Little Tiger's team, but the pace of growth in terms of numbers was undeniably the fastest among all major teams.
In the initial phase of global unification, battles were the most frequent, and casualties were the highest. All major teams faced reductions in personnel, and even when they began to replenish their ranks later, they could only maintain a certain number; overall combat effectiveness had declined.
Yet, only Little Tiger's team saw both quantity and quality rise.
This was related to his exceedingly radical style.
When Little Tiger attacked a region, he enjoyed playing a game of ‘cat and mouse’. He would start by eliminating the smaller forces, leaving the strongest for last.
He didn’t do this for ease; he did it for fun, to properly toy with the local strongest forces.
Usually, he would silently corner the target into a position, then launch a powerful charge to annihilate them in one go.
Occasionally, he would discover someone among the targets that caught his eye, and he would recruit them… or rather, abduct them.
Little Tiger was not averse to those who wanted to pledge allegiance to him.
However, whether someone caught his attention or sought to join him, there was only one way to become a member of Little Tiger's team: charging to the front in the next battle. Once the casualty rate exceeded fifty percent, they would become true members, dissolving previous structures and entering various sub-teams.
This approach surprisingly yielded excellent results.
Those evolvers who survived countless battles, despite harboring grievances against Little Tiger and Cloud Summit, found themselves receiving mounts, equipment, and various benefits they had never dared to dream of before, slowly easing their thoughts.
After all, when everything is compared, the difference becomes evident.
Of course, there were hidden dangers, but in the chaos of the apocalypse, these dangers were forcibly suppressed. Perhaps they would erupt later when the situation calmed, but that was a matter for another time.
Cloud Summit's first target was to unify the national districts. Almost all battle teams were deployed, and while completing their assigned battles, Little Tiger received orders to reinforce the battle beast legion.
