Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 191: Ice Extreme Tornado ❄️🌪️

Published: February 5, 2025

The three-tailed demon frog lay in a cave halfway up Gem Mountain, comfortably licking the natural gems beside it. These water attribute gems with accompanying ice attributes were its favorite.

For humans, the desolate land seemed incredibly abrupt, but for the monsters living here, it had always existed and was their place of reproduction and survival.

The only difference was that on a certain day, after a strong tremor, a faint scent occasionally drifted in from beyond the Chaos Barrier.

It was the temptation of delicious food, as well as a signal of evolution.

The three-tailed demon frog was quite lucky; it discovered that in the desolate land, some frail beings it had never seen before had appeared when it was at level two. These creatures, called humans, were weaker than even newly born monsters, yet their flesh was incredibly delicious, and the energy contained within them was much higher than that of their fragile bodies.

After devouring nearly a hundred humans, the three-tailed demon frog advanced from level two to level three.

At this level, it could be considered powerful in this desolate land.

However, after all the humans in the desolate land were eaten, the three-tailed demon frog thought its happy days were over. Yet, it unexpectedly discovered another Gem Mountain deep within the desolate land, one that shared its attributes.

Although this mountain was occupied by another level three monster, the allure of Gem Mountain was far greater than the delicious humans. For this, the three-tailed demon frog was willing to fight.

That battle was the hardest it had faced since its birth. It broke a leg, lost a tail, and even had its belly ripped open; it almost bled out.

But it won. It killed the monster that originally occupied this place and claimed the coveted Gem Mountain for itself.

The three-tailed demon frog quickly recovered its health. As long as there were endless gems to draw energy from, any injury could heal, especially for a water-type monster known for its recovery abilities.

It began to absorb the energy from the gems day and night, rapidly evolving, until it recently succeeded in becoming a level four monster.

The amount of gems it used was merely a tiny portion of the cave it resided in; the three-tailed demon frog even felt that it could evolve to the highest level nine here!

Having such a territory, the three-tailed demon frog would naturally not let go. It used its urine to claim the territory, announcing its sovereignty to other beings.

In fact, the three-tailed demon frog wasn't too worried. Although it knew that its evolution level wasn't the highest in the desolate land and that there were a few other monsters with strength comparable to or even higher than its own, those monsters were either clumsy brutes focusing on physical strength or other elemental types that had no interest in the water and ice attribute gems, and would not fight over these useless things.

As for other monsters, the three-tailed demon frog could easily deal with them.

But recently, it faced a challenge.

At first, it was a large golden dog roaming around. Though not high in level, it was very fast and cunning, never stepping into the territory of Gem Mountain but observing and wandering nearby.

For evolving beings, such behavior was a precursor to an attack.

The three-tailed demon frog naturally would not allow such provocation. It took the initiative to strike out several times, but the large dog was very sly, retreating immediately when sensing danger.

It was important to note that the three-tailed demon frog was not known for speed or long-distance pursuit.

After several failed attempts, the three-tailed demon frog noticed a powerful aura in the desolate land rapidly approaching after multiple cycles of light and darkness.

This discovery made its ugly flesh lumps harden with tension. It jumped to the summit of Gem Mountain and looked in that direction.

The crimson flame armored beast!

Another level four monster, of the fire attribute, which was the opposite of the three-tailed demon frog’s water attribute.
