With a sinister grin, Walym drew a short spear, his thick arms bulking up sharply before he hurled the spear forward.
There was no whistling sound, as if he had merely swung his arm without doing anything else.
However, Jie Su's expression changed immediately. One hand shot up, and a short dagger floated up to meet the spear, clashing with it and producing a clear ringing sound.
The spear shattered into dozens of pieces, while the dagger was knocked back briefly before swiftly returning.
But this did not ease Jie Su's worries; instead, it heightened his tension. Just as he had anticipated, more spears flew in one after another. Jie Su had to maneuver the four short daggers he wielded to block the incoming attacks, and when necessary, he would throw punches and kicks or dodge to avoid those assaults.
Walym alone had entangled Jie Su. This was a tough situation for the other two Su Clan members, who could only desperately fend off the enemies surrounding them. Although they were gradually retreating, they could only defend and had managed to hold their ground temporarily.
This success was due in part to the efforts of the Long Void Water Clan members with their water chains, the Silk Sea Light Array, and the peculiar weapons they held.
The metal rods, weapons produced by the Tarros Red Dwarf, had many functions and were incredibly useful. For instance, they could activate mechanisms on the rods to emit blinding light, sharp needles, fine chains, or even metal strips that could unfold into shields with evenly spaced gaps when needed.
Just like the Mimetic Weapons, these were standard weapons designed specifically for the Su Clan by the Tarros Red Dwarf. As long as the Su Clan members didn’t have better options, they would typically use these "multi-functional focal pillars" as weapons.
Of course, there were distinctions in quality; the ones in the hands of Jie Su's two clan members were only mid-range, while the high-end versions could only be afforded by those with 'Su' in their names.
Yet, despite their efforts to minimize the area of defense, making it so that each defender faced as few opponents as possible, they were still outnumbered. With the strongest Jie Su temporarily tied down, the situation became precarious.
The situation was equally urgent for Pao Bai, who was primarily dealing with the three Tarros Red Dwarf who had been scared away earlier.
Previously, they had retreated due to the sudden appearance of a large number of green dots around them, but their fear of Pao Bai and Ye Zhongming at that time was also a significant reason for their withdrawal.
Now, these three dwarves were furious and determined to regain their lost face.
At last, the opportunity they were waiting for had arrived.
However, when they learned that these individuals were here to cause trouble for the Star-Eye Clan, Mu Hanyi and the Mechanical Genius fighting alongside Pao Bai both showed a similar disdain.
Did these little dwarfs not understand just how vengeful the King of Cloud Summit was? The fact that they had not clashed with Ye Zhongming earlier should have been reason to rejoice. Why were they so stubbornly returning?
Did they not realize that if Ye Zhongming did not die today, they would face severe consequences?
The two shared a consistent thought; they were both 'victims.'
Pao Bai had even simpler thoughts.
Last time, I didn’t turn you into idiots; this time, I won’t let the opportunity slip away.
With the water chain set up just for him, this madman charged towards the trio of dwarves, clearly intent on taking them all on.
In fact, Pao Bai was indeed formidable, as he single-handedly bore a considerable portion of the pressure, leaving only a few enemies for Mu Hanyi and the Mechanical Genius, who were still relatively new.
However, new players would always be new players; even though Mu Hanyi and the Mechanical Genius displayed exceptional combat prowess, and Ji Rui Guang and others were performing remarkably, they could only keep the situation from collapsing, desperately trying to hold on.
