Ye Zhongming and the others watched with great interest.
Even though this was already the second type of potion being crafted, back on Earth, Cloud Summit had its share of potion-makers, Alchemists, and similar professions, but none could replicate such a miraculous manufacturing process.
The professionals created by roulette technology required a certain medium for production. Even special professionals with prefixes, like Ye Zhongming’s glorious artisan, seemed to work bare-handed but still needed materials as a foundation.
The process involved some radiance, some changes in form, and that was about it.
However, the synthesis was different; while it also required a medium, that medium was the Sacred Talisman on her body!
“Because of the Sacred Talismans bestowed upon our clan members, and after countless years of exploration by our ancestors, we have developed a fairly perfected capability. The abilities of the Sacred Talismans are far beyond mere attacks. In fact, one could say that attacking is a rather low-end and wasteful use of energy; their true abilities are not limited to this.”
Before the synthesis, she had explained this to Ye Zhongming and the others. It was evident that as long as they set aside their grudges and shadows, long void water clan members dealt with matters in a gentle manner, without too many ulterior motives. To put it sentimentally, they were quite simple-minded.
This also indicates from another perspective why this race struggled to survive in the universe. Firstly, they possessed things others coveted but lacked the ability to protect themselves. Secondly, their thoughts were straightforward and uncomplicated. If they weren’t eliminated, who would be?
“The primary ability of the Sacred Talisman is to produce potions. Each Sacred Talisman has its unique ability that injects the corresponding energy into the potions. The effectiveness and quality of the potions primarily depend on how many Sacred Talismans have refined them. Naturally, each potion can only be produced by one clan member. This means the number of Sacred Talismans held by the creator directly affects the quality of the potion.”
“Our clan’s two most powerful ancestors possessed eleven Sacred Talismans. The highest-level potion they refined underwent the refinement of eleven Sacred Talismans, and its effects were simply… how should I put it, the four types of potions each had miraculous effects.”
When she said this, her eyes were filled with nostalgia and admiration.
She herself possessed ten Sacred Talismans, and the highest-level potion she could produce was through ten stages of refinement. Because Ye Zhongming had read certain novels from Earth, he used the term ten transformations to describe it.
According to her, ten transformations involved ten types of materials, among which more than seven were quite rare and hard to find. Generally available materials couldn’t withstand the ten stages of refinement by the Sacred Talismans; they would simply be destroyed.
The remaining three types were relatively easier to find, but gathering them was still quite challenging. Ye Zhongming’s focus on the spinning fish was because fish gelatin was also one of the materials required for ten transformations.
“Today, we can only produce two types of potions; one is a third-tier potion, and the other, which is slightly more difficult, is a fourth-tier potion.”
As she finished speaking, she entered the potion-making state.
The chosen location for this crafting was halfway up a mountainous island. Here was a depression formed by some unknown force, creating a natural sheltered pit about ten meters deep and around fifty meters in diameter. The edges of the pit were covered with trees, effectively hiding the situation inside. Coupled with the dense vegetation on the mountain, any light or disturbance created by her would not easily be noticed.
Including Ye Zhongming, all individuals except for her surrounded the pit to ensure her safety.
