Ye Zhongming's attack came much earlier than Husky had expected.
He thought that the guy might wait until the outcome was about to be decided before taking action.
However, this was a good thing for him.
Husky preferred not to fight desperately if he didn't have to; having more members of his squad survive would give him more bargaining power when negotiating with Ye Zhongming later.
The situation, initially 9 to 5, changed to 9 to 8, no wait, it became 9 to 9. Ignoring the ball could lead to being knocked down.
Ye Zhongming adopted a combat style that was completely different from Husky's; after all, he didn't care much about whether his squad members lived or died.
Additionally, since he was already a red name, he didn't mind killing.
Jie Kui and Shikangbu felt the same way.
They had not yet received a red name, but being with Ye Zhongming seemed to make no difference on that front.
At the same time, both of them engaged the enemy in the same way: ambushing, specifically targeting the weak spots.
Ye Zhongming's target was an evil armor star person who had been injured by a Sacred Talisman attack. Due to the innate enemy relationship, and since the hit was on the side of its head, it had not gotten back up for a while. Nearby, a partner was guarding it.
However, Ye Zhongming was not the first to attack; he was the last.
Jie Kui's target was also an injured evil armor star person. With the numerical advantage, the evil armor star people had begun to surround Husky and the others. Jie Kui had an excellent angle for a sneak attack from behind.
He was not like Ye Zhongming, who was a half-baked ambusher, but a true assassin.
Fleeting light that shocks the heart.
He charged forward, wielding dual daggers, crossing a considerable distance from the shadows, and the sharp gleam successfully pierced the neck of the injured evil armor star person.
Strictly speaking, targeting this area was very risky. Because of the length of the dagger, striking accurately here required Jie Kui to be very close to the target.
That meant he basically had to plunge deep into the enemy's ranks.

Yet for some reason, Jie Kui felt that his role, or that of Shikangbu, was simply to create an opening; the rest would be handled by Ye Zhongming.
The sensation from the dagger told Jie Kui that he had succeeded.
Shikangbu's chosen target was quite special; it was the evil armor star person that had burrowed into the beach earlier. That guy had appeared once before, inflicting serious injuries on a member of the Husky Squad, and then had burrowed underground again.
Even though the opponents knew he could emerge at any time, they had no way to counter it; the pressure on the surface was too great.
Shikangbu's combat style was equally mysterious and stealthy. Unlike Jie Kui, who jumped out from the beach to deal a fatal blow, he sank his body into the sand, disappearing underground like the evil armor star person.
When he reappeared, he did so alongside the enemy. Both shot into the air together, and upon landing, Shikangbu flew backward, as if afraid of being chased, while his opponent struggled a couple of times before collapsing to the ground, no longer moving.
It was at this moment that Ye Zhongming made his move.
He followed closely behind Jie Kui, not in a way that let others take the lead while he picked up the scraps, but as a form of cover.
Even for a nine-star evolver, facing Jie Kui's fierce attacks without equipment enhancements would instinctively require full attention. Yet behind Jie Kui, there was an extremely brief moment that became a blind spot.
But that brief moment was enough. Ye Zhongming charged forward rapidly and activated his teleportation as Jie Kui unleashed his skill, also activating double poison shadow.
A large black shadow fell from the sky, landing in the center of the battlefield, then exploded, creating a strong mental shockwave that swept across the area.
