Chapter
"Thank you to book friends 1607... 7865 for the ten thousand rewards"
Numerous Sword Thorn Grass stems fused together, forming a short sword just over a meter long. At this moment, it no longer resembled any plant characteristics, completely appearing like metal.
Ye Zhongming swung it a bit, then chopped and poked at the ground, forming his evaluation of this short sword.
It was roughly equivalent to a green-level weapon.
Strangely, in this place, Ye Zhongming's crafting and gardening professions had not been lost, and his skills were intact. However, the item he created with his own hands didn’t emit any radiant light representing its level, nor did it have specific attributes.
The materials were too ordinary.
Sword Thorn Grass was actually decent as a material, but if it was the only thing he had, it was too limited. If Ye Zhongming had Ghost Gold or Drilling Sea Gold, combined with a few other materials, then the short sword he crafted would certainly be a golden-level weapon.
But having this item was better than nothing. Ye Zhongming grasped the short sword and continued to explore.
The person before had said this was a trial. Since that was the case, he wasn’t worried about not knowing what to do; ‘trouble’ would come looking for him.
Sure enough, before Ye Zhongming could find suitable materials for crafting defensive equipment, ‘trouble’ came knocking.
It was two enormous serpents, or rather, dragon-like snakes.
With a single horn on their heads and four claws on their bodies, if it weren’t for the lack of Dragon Whiskers, Dragon Tails, and Dragon Scales, Ye Zhongming might have thought they were prototypes of the Eastern Divine Dragon.
Ye Zhongming felt a rush of excitement, not because they resembled dragons, but because they had something he was very familiar with.
Magic Crystals!
In such an unknown place, encountering something familiar, even if it was an enemy, gave Ye Zhongming a strange sense of warmth.
However, these two friendly creatures were anything but amicable, and they were at least level eight.
On Earth, even facing two level eight beings, or even ten, Ye Zhongming had dozens of ways to defeat them, but now he only had a short sword that was equivalent to a green level.
With a swing of his right hand, he attempted to unleash the Myriad Layer Body Blade Slash, but the result stunned Ye Zhongming.
It was ineffective!
There was no movement!
One of the dragon-like snakes let out an angry hiss and swept its tail, sending Ye Zhongming flying.
The tremendous impact made Ye Zhongming grimace, but he quickly stood up, his body dodging to the side as he maneuvered to approach the two opponents.
The level eight serpents assumed it was mealtime. After all, in this jungle, not many lives could withstand their strike, and this diminutive existence should be no different.
They turned simultaneously towards Ye Zhongming, their massive bodies incredibly agile, their hind claws gripping the ground as they swung their bodies around.
But as they turned, they suddenly found that the human had already closed in to a mere distance from them, leaving them incredibly astonished. When they instinctively wanted to extend their heads to bite, their bodies suddenly felt heavy.
With a splatter, blood sprayed out as one of the serpents was cut open beneath its head, the smell of blood starting to fill the air.
The other serpent, enraged upon seeing its companion injured, launched itself into the air with its powerful claws, its horn aiming directly at Ye Zhongming, who had just swung his short sword.
He lightly pressed against the wounded serpent's body, leveraging that force to dodge sideways.
However, since Ye Zhongming wasn’t equipped, he wasn’t used to the first battle and misjudged his timing, dodging a bit late as the serpent's horn grazed him.
The King of Cloud Summit was thrown out again.
But just like the first time, Ye Zhongming immediately got up, using the dense foliage around him as cover, moving in a different direction.
The injured serpent had to lower its head, trying to limit the blood flowing from its wound, but its gaze was filled with intense fury, clearly harboring hatred for Ye Zhongming.
