Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

Nine-star evolvers and ninth-level mutated life forms are not omnipotent.
Ye Zhongming is like this, and the Yama Court Royal Flag that he finds somewhat difficult to deal with is the same.
Ye Zhongming truly has no good solution for this flag, mainly because he doesn’t have much time. He wants to destroy the flag quickly so that his subordinates on the ground no longer suffer harm.
He risks danger, utilizing the abilities of a nine-star evolver, to directly enter the Soul Flag, intending to improve his efficiency.
However, after entering, the King of Cloud Summit, despite having transformed into an attacking machine, continuously uses the Wind and Thunder Twin Birth and the sharpness of the Revenant Sand Moon Blade along with his own abilities to cut through these souls, attempting to shatter the flag by himself, only to realize that while he might be able to do it, it requires time.
And the one thing he lacks the most is time.
After all, the Yama Court Royal Flag can continuously replenish energy, as long as there is life below.
At that moment, Ye Zhongming sensed the Holy Maiden who had vanished within the flag.
Naturally, at this point, the Holy Maiden had lost her life and body, leaving only a trace of soul. Due to the special nature of the Yama Court Royal Flag, she remained here, possibly because of deep resentment, she sensed Ye Zhongming's presence and suddenly appeared.
This Yama Court Royal Flag absorbed the lifeforce of countless Temple of Dawn citizens to restore and take shape. In the end, the initially fragmented temple re-acknowledged the Holy Maiden as their leader, and this state persisted until their last moments.
Previously, the Holy Maiden's trace of residual soul had not played any role; whether it was Said, who had also thrown himself into the flag, or Ye Zhongming, who had received prompts, both believed the Holy Maiden had acted in anger but failed to achieve her goal.
The reason Said didn’t immediately mobilize countless souls to attack at the beginning was partly due to this.
When Ye Zhongming transformed into a high-speed cutting machine and charged into the flag, the Holy Maiden's residual soul finally revealed itself.
The King of Cloud Summit didn’t know what this residual soul could do, but since it had appeared, the final moments had arrived.
As soon as he spoke, Ye Zhongming’s entire body radiated a bright light, and the surrounding blade light suddenly multiplied around him.
Said felt it deeply; Ye Zhongming's earlier attacks had already made him extremely uncomfortable. Every soul that encountered this opponent was shattered, making it difficult for them to reconstitute.
Now, seeing Ye Zhongming make a significant move, the speed at which he was exterminating the surrounding souls accelerated. He also began to recall the little ghost heads he had just released; they didn’t need to be fully fed, just enough to consume the life energy.
Due to the sheer number of ghost heads, which had already connected the Soul Flag with the ground, they started to ‘return to their nest,’ creating a more spectacular scene, filling the sky above the Holy City with darkness.
The speed and power of the little ghost heads were not as formidable as those of the larger heads, but their overwhelming numbers meant that the organized defense of the Cloud Summit was holding well with limited opportunities for the ghost heads.
However, the people of the Holy City suffered. They lacked unified leadership, and each person had different thoughts, scattering and fleeing throughout the city, resulting in very weak resistance.
The ghost heads consciously targeted them, typically with one little ghost head crashing directly into their bodies before quickly flying out, having had a meal during the process, then returning to the Yama Court Royal Flag to replenish their energy, allowing them to counter Ye Zhongming, and then the little ghost heads would descend again, continuing the cycle.
The replenishment speed just barely kept up with the energy consumption from Ye Zhongming's attacks.
