A ghostly head appeared in the air.
It detached from the Soul Flag, gradually taking shape above it.
This process was actually very quick, but it felt incredibly long to those watching.
The massive black-gray ghostly head opened its mouth wide, emitting a sound that was both like laughter and crying, leaving listeners dizzy.
Ye Zhongming and the other top-tier life forms experienced this too, but they quickly regained their senses and understood why the formation of the ghost head felt prolonged.
The sounds coming from the ghost head had a disturbing effect on the mind.
Ye Zhongming moved forward, positioning himself directly in front of the ghost head.
Now, the Yama Tree and Mo Ye were launching a full assault on the giant palace known as Abba, while the spirit woman and the black cat remained vigilant on the side, leaving the task of dealing with the strange Soul Flag to him.
He trusted the Yama Tree and Mo Ye; it wouldn't be long before they could kill the giant palace.
Despite Abba's impressive display against the Yama Tree and its ability to withstand attacks from several other Cloud Summit big shots,
it was not in a situation where it was fighting at full strength. Once these beings exerted themselves, Abba wouldn't last long.
However, when it came to the ghostly Soul Flag before him, Ye Zhongming was extremely cautious.
He stood firm, ensuring he could block any attacks at any moment. With a wave of his right hand, an ancient yellow talisman appeared in his grip.
It had some incantations drawn in red cinnabar, the meaning of which was unknown.
While it was not absolute, evolvers believed that Buddhist and Taoist items were more effective against such ghosts, and Ye Zhongming was no exception.
This was an item obtained from the Gate of Sacrifice, called the Universal Enlightenment Talisman.
Anything that could be called a "sacred" item was usually very powerful, and this one was no exception.
It had no level; it was simply a talisman. Upon closer inspection, it looked as crude as something a street con artist would sell.
Yet Ye Zhongming knew this item was not simple; when was the last time you saw equipment introduced with just those words—"disperse evil"?
What was evil?
Ye Zhongming felt that the ghost head before him and the Soul Flag itself were embodiments of evil.
The talisman began to burn, its flames an odd purple.
The ghost head grew larger, its voice booming, suddenly letting out a cruel laugh as it charged towards the closest target... Yangos.
There was no choice; the Evil Dragon was retreating, but from its perspective, Cloud Summit still held an absolute advantage. Yangos was acutely aware of its boss's strength,
believing that even the elders among its pureblood kin were likely weaker than its boss. The only beings capable of defeating its boss were probably the first dragons of each elemental system.
So, its retreat was somewhat slow, feeling that it had a chance to snag some "premium" food, which would bring it one step closer to the ninth level.
The Evil Dragon, looking to take advantage, became the first target of the ghost head's attack.
Yangos was fierce, there's no denying that, and one could say that, inherently, few battle beasts from Cloud Summit could rival its "evil."
If it hadn't accidentally entered Cloud Summit, it would likely be a beast of calamity.
But it was also quite cowardly; when faced with something it couldn't resist, it was the quickest to back down.
Previously, it had already sensed the unusual nature of the Soul Flag, weighing its abilities and estimating it wouldn't stand a chance.
Now, seeing that the ghost head's target was itself, the Evil Dragon fell silent and turned to flee.
Yangos had more confidence in its escape, oh no, flying speed, than in its combat abilities.
But it quickly discovered that its flying speed was no match for the ghost head.
The ghostly head emitted by the Soul Flag was eerie; its movement was not flying in the strict sense but rather space jumping.
