Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 1705: Coping With It (Part 2) 🤔

Published: February 12, 2025

Before the Zhuangxiang Bagua Palace shattered, Ye Zhongming had thrown out some items from the space.

They were numerous puppets densely packed together.

Then, Ye Zhongming activated his bloodline, and the lightning sand monster appeared, rushing to meet the thunder.

But that wasn't all; two weapons appeared in the hands of the King of Cloud Summit. He took them and leaped onto Yangos's back, the Evil Dragon instantly soaring into the sky.

With just a flap of its wings, it was enough.

"Little Leaf, if Grandpa Dragon dies, you have to make me a Dragon Tomb filled with gold coins and a hundred or eighty beautiful beasts as burial companions. Otherwise, even if I become an undead dragon, I won't let you off."

This long-unused spiritual communication entered Ye Zhongming's mind in that instant.

The King of Cloud Summit tossed something to the ground, pointed at it with a grin, and patted the dragon's head.

At that moment, the image on the light barrier displayed a strong sense of layering.

At the top was the Zhuangxiang Bagua Palace, which had collapsed under the thunderstorm but had not completely disappeared. Below it was a densely packed layer of puppets, and beneath that was a bizarre creature with lightning on its horned head.

And below the creature stood the King of Cloud Summit and the eighth-level fire elemental dragon.

If that was all, this scene could only be considered a montage of various means to block the thunder, but beneath Yangos, a gigantic tree was rapidly growing taller, soon approaching the Evil Dragon's feet.

The Cloud Summit team was hidden beneath this large tree, making them invisible on the light barrier.

Weaker thunders struck those puppets, which seemed to have some defensive qualities but were as fragile as glass hit by stones, shattering all at once.

The lightning sand monster charged out, fearlessly facing the thunder. Although it was a mix of lightning and sand, and thunder was its elemental energy, its physical resilience was clearly no match for the thunder. It lasted only a second before being directly blasted to the ground, its body torn apart and scattered beneath unknown plants.

By this time, the power of the thunder had already decreased considerably. Yet when Ye Zhongming faced it, he had no sense of assurance.

Still, he went all out, channeling all his energy into the two weapons and throwing them at the thunder.

Many other team members watching this scene thought that the leader of Cloud Summit Villa had run out of ideas, resorting to such a foolish method. After all, offensive weapons were not defensive ones; no matter how high the level, they couldn’t withstand such power of thunder!

Yet, this seemingly childish approach actually worked.

When the thunder struck the two weapons, it felt as though they were intercepted, not only significantly reducing in brightness but also exhibiting scattering effects at the edges, rebounding to other areas.

This... was too strange!

These puppets were created by Ye Zhongming using three types of monster templates obtained from the space: Stone Cavalry, Flame Giant, and Mud Monster. He had manufactured them all using the Refining Furnace and the engraving machine.

This naturally took a significant amount of time, but the previous adventure with Bright Star had given Ye Zhongming enough opportunities and materials to create all of these.

Now, in his hands, those three monster templates had all transformed into fully formed puppets.

The characteristics of these entities determined that after consumption, they would become three powerful existences.

Faced with the triple-power thunder, Ye Zhongming had no intention of letting his subordinates take risks. After Xia Bai, Xiao Min, and Dai Zhi joined forces to weaken the thunder's power, he would handle the remaining matters himself.

These puppets were thus risked in this moment.

This certainly posed the danger of being completely destroyed, but it also presented the opportunity to recombine into something stronger, making it far better than using the Arhat battle dolls that would surely get damaged.
