Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 1656: Genius and Fool (Part 1) 🤔

This time, the people of Cloud Summit understood.

"That's right, that's right! You’re not completely stupid. My kill count is now four thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine. As long as I kill this person, I will obtain the passage right!"

Indeed, it was as he said! The people of Cloud Summit exchanged glances, unsure how to respond to the current situation.

However, Ye Zhongming, who had already guessed that things were not looking good, remained completely calm.

"You won’t kill this person immediately. You will wait until the other two forces gain their passage rights before killing him, leaving us out of the final test."

Ye Zhongming took a step forward, causing the man to fall silent for a moment. Clearly, no matter how arrogant or confident he had appeared before, he was cautious when faced with a boss who had stirred the entire battlefield.

"In other words, we are not sentenced to death immediately. Instead, within the next five minutes, if we can take you down or break through your defenses to eliminate those two forces, we still have a good chance of advancing, right?"

The man chuckled, "That’s right. I think it’s more fun this way. If I just eliminated you, that would be too boring."

Originally, he had sent mechanical soldiers to attack Ye Zhongming, but when his subordinates arrived on the battlefield, he saw the impressive achievements of Cloud Summit Villa and the Ogre Chain working together. He witnessed the chaotic battles among various forces, including the Youth Army from Great America, who either fished in troubled waters or successfully completed their kill counts to pass the test. This led him to a new idea.

Utilizing the control of his mechanical puppets over the entire battlefield, he continuously observed and analyzed the situation, eventually coming up with this plan.

Very clever, very strange, very willful…

He was clever because this method almost made him invulnerable. If he saw things taking a turn for the worse, he could simply kill that person to advance directly. If circumstances allowed, he could toy with his opponents at will.

He was strange because this was something not many normal people could pull off. In the special roulette space competing for a top-tier treasure, caution and prudence were essential for every force, yet he was just "playing."

He was willful because he abandoned the easy path and chose a difficult one, imposing risks on himself.

Ye Zhongming shook his head, "You’re really confident.”

The battle began amidst the simple and quick dialogue between the two bosses.

The young man among the mechanical puppets laughed wildly, instructing his mechanical troops to form a formation.

This man, who seemed to believe he was the most powerful in the world, actually set up a defensive stance!

Yangos and Xia Bai flew into the sky, intending to charge from above, but among the mechanical formations, flying entities also ascended. Four mechanical flying dragons, each not too large but exuding great might, took to the air, each equipped with two pairs of wings.

On the ground, positioned before the entire mechanical army, were ten mechanical rhinoceroses. Each had two horns on their foreheads, red crystal eyes, and forked tails that arched high towards the sky, emitting red, yellow, and blue smoke.

Behind these ten mechanical rhinoceroses were various unidentifiable machines, bizarre in shape, with the most formidable one in the center giving Ye Zhongming a strong sense of intimidation. These machines had some dark, metallic tubes on them, likely cannons or some kind of launching tubes, while the rest remained a mystery.

Amidst these machines were numerous mechanical soldiers, a bit taller and bulkier than normal humans, covered in various weapons, each wrapped entirely in solid metal, showcasing extremely complex manufacturing techniques.

Cloud Summit naturally did not know that these mechanical warriors were made from real people.

Further back were various beast-like mechanical puppets and humanoid mechanical puppets, numbering in the hundreds.
