Xia Bai was too aggressive, like the sharpest dagger; her protection of Ye Zhongming meant killing anyone who tried to approach him.

But many times, just having a dagger wasn't enough; one also needed a shield.

Dai Zhi was the shield of the entire red dress guard.

The vice-captain of the red dress guard leaped from the ground, the eight flying daggers suddenly combining into a single black long knife, and with her leap, she swung it decisively at the lunging Melfis.
