CHAPTER TEXT:
Hoo~~ Ye Zhongming woke up from a short sleep, his previous fatigue swept away.
Since the day before yesterday, when he saw the peaks of Denali Mountain light up, the team from Cloud Summit had been advancing quickly. However, upon reaching the foot of the mountain, they found that the entire mountain was surrounded by a mysterious force, making it impossible to enter no matter what method they tried.
The people from Cloud Summit could only set up camp in place.
Without knowing when this place would open, Ye Zhongming began making some preparations.
The first task was to use materials obtained along the way to manufacture some equipment, including those received from Alamos.
Although he had promised to make high-level equipment for Alamos, Ye Zhongming naturally reserved some materials for himself; he was never soft-hearted in this regard, nor would he be bound by any moral constraints.
Being labeled greedy and unscrupulous was far better than being called a fool.
Among the materials, there were some of the highest level, including those from ninth-level life.
There were materials from the man-bear king, the snow wolf king, the items obtained from Alamos, and those acquired from the Blue Secret Realm.
If time permitted, Ye Zhongming would take his time to understand the properties of these materials, to conceptualize the equipment he wanted to create, and to consider various plans and countermeasures for any accidents during the refining process.
After all, these materials were hard to come by and extremely precious. Once destroyed, they would be gone forever.
However, the reality made Ye Zhongming feel a sense of urgency.
After the peaks of Denali Mountain emitted light, in just a few hours, dozens of powers arrived at the foot of the mountain.
Those who could get information about the Mountain King Plateau were certainly not weak organizations, and the worst among them ranked among the top fifty in the national district.
Even after Ye Zhongming personally went on a reconnaissance round, he found several battle teams that caught his attention.
The jannadrah, mottled crusaders, and Ogre Chain were not the only ones; beyond them, Ye Zhongming also discovered forces that required his attention.
One was a large battle group that appeared loosely disciplined, but each individual looked extremely fierce. What drew Ye Zhongming's attention was that this battle group had a cavalry force of over ten thousand people, characterized by four large sharp horns. Each creature stood several meters tall, and while their evolution levels varied, Ye Zhongming knew all too well how terrifying a cavalry force of that scale could be.
Once they charged, any evolver who lost mobility might find themselves in a passive situation, getting beaten.
The other evolvers in this team also had high levels.
The second organization that caught Ye Zhongming's eye was a completely female battle team, just like the red dress guard. Such existences were too rare in the apocalypse.
Ye Zhongming didn't know why these women gathered to form such a team, but through a brief observation of about ten minutes, he noted that this faction, called the women's camp, with around four thousand members, didn't seem to mind interacting with other forces. Although their numbers weren't the highest, their camp was the most lively among all the surrounding factions.
Many were engaged in transactions and some… things that Ye Zhongming found hard to comprehend.
He couldn't see through this battle team.
The third battle team also appeared to be a coalition, but this one was somewhat dark and silent, especially when their leader, a huge fat man resembling a mountain, appeared, causing the entire team to fall into a state of silence.
Even from a distance, Ye Zhongming felt an extreme danger emanating from this large man.
He was the only one who reacted to Ye Zhongming's probing, but he couldn’t find out where Ye Zhongming was.
The last one was a force that Ye Zhongming couldn't comprehend or speculate about—a team of… all-metal beings. He didn't see any humans among them, but thousands of mechanical life forms stood quietly under the peaks, most hidden by the wind and snow. Once other lives entered this place, they would immediately be engulfed by these metallic tides.
