Chapter 1590: No Clue 🕵️‍♂️

The moment the blade radiance touched the white silk, these silks began to move.

The entire cave was filled with white silk, and with this movement, it seemed as if the cave had come to life. A net vibrated back and forth, and the spirit woman within naturally floated along with the waves. This made the black cat very worried, and it instinctively wanted to get closer to its master.

However, the frequency of these white silks was extremely fast, and the black cat could not dodge at all. It was immediately struck and emitted a cry of pain. Originally, the black cat was near the cave wall, but after rushing into the white silk net, it lost its balance after being attacked for the first time, constantly being struck within the net. By the time it was flung out, its body was already covered in wounds.

Ye Zhongming knew how strong this seemingly ordinary black cat, which only had one more magic crystal than a pet cat, really was. Even he could not inflict so many wounds on this agile creature in such a short time.

But these white silks accomplished that.

The black cat was suffering, and Ye Zhongming was not having an easy time either. As the instigator, the white silk did not spare him either. After the blade radiance fell, these white silks shot towards him with astonishing speed, completely different from their previous stillness. Fortunately, Ye Zhongming was at the entrance, and upon realizing something was wrong, he quickly retreated, causing most of the incoming white silks to strike the stone wall instead. The hard stone was pierced as if it were tofu, creating deep holes.

Soon, everything returned to calm, and Ye Zhongming walked back into the cave.

He raised his hand to wipe his left cheek, where a small wound had appeared. It wasn't large, only a trickle of blood that had already begun to clot.

However, in the eyes of the King of Cloud Summit, there was a newfound caution that hadn’t existed before.

The attack of the white silks had no warning at all, moving so fast that it was almost impossible to react. Moreover, Ye Zhongming did not know how sharp those needles piercing into Red Hair's body were, but those that had just targeted him made him feel as if he were facing a purple weapon.

At the same time, he found it strange that these white silks allowed the black cat to pry open the gray substance to see its magic crystal but did not permit anyone to attack its white silks.

Such a behavior of allowing people to observe the core while forbidding them to touch the branches was too strange.

The black cat slowly crawled to Ye Zhongming's feet. Although it was not dead, it was still badly injured.

Yet neither the black cat nor Ye Zhongming looked at each other; they were both focused on the white silks.

Due to the previous attack, these white silks were slowly returning to calm. Some of the protruding needles were retracting, and some that had been flung wide were slowing their frequency, even the spirit woman was the same.

It seemed as if everything was about to return to its original state.

However, at those places that had struck the black cat and at the tip of the white silk that had pierced Ye Zhongming's left cheek, there was blood from both the man and the cat.

As the white silks became tranquil, at those spots stained with blood, some protrusions began to emerge, slowly absorbing that blood.

After about ten seconds, all the blood vanished, and the white silks in the cave returned to calm. In the depression that the black cat had pried open, that magic crystal stepped forward another inch towards being fully silver.

Ye Zhongming took out a healing crystal and applied it to the black cat. He then frowned and looked ahead, pondering a solution to these things.

A strong attack seemed impossible. Judging from the state the white silks had shown earlier, Ye Zhongming felt that even if he used his strongest attack, it would not have any effect.

So how could he resolve the spirit woman?

After the black cat was treated, it felt a bit better, but after all, it was a mutated life, and the effect of the healing crystal on it was not as good as on the evolvers.
