Just as Ye Zhongming and the Snow Wolf King were reaching the climax of their battle, on the other side, Xia Bai and Yangos were intensifying their attack on the Man-Bear King.
In terms of individual combat power, the beings here might be slightly weaker than Ye Zhongming. However, their numbers were overwhelming, and with the presence of Yangos, the Earth Yellow Pill, and the Undead Fish Dragon, they continuously pressured the Man-Bear King from the very beginning.
If the Snow Wolf King was primarily agile, then the Man-Bear King excelled in defense and strength.
Sometimes, battles between mutated beings are straightforward and direct, especially when they possess strong confidence in their physical capabilities. The Man-Bear King was one such case; it did not regard these eighth-level beings as a threat to its proud body, resulting in extremely savage and direct combat.
Aside from dodging Yangos' dragon breath, the Man-Bear King retaliated against any life form that entered its attack range with its ‘old fists.’
Indeed, the Man-Bear King hardly acknowledged these eighth-level beings.
However, reality soon made it realize that if it did not go all out today, it might be killed right here.
Strictly speaking, the tactics employed by the Man-Bear King were not fundamentally flawed. It chose to temporarily avoid aerial opponents, aiming to take down the Earth Yellow Pill, the Nine Treasures, and the Red Dress Guard on the ground first.
It was accustomed to walking upright, and with its massive body, each step or leap, or swinging of its forelimbs, could cover a vast area. Its primary target was the clustered Red Dress Guard.
After dodging the first wave of aerial attacks, the Man-Bear King's body swiftly moved toward the Red Dress Guard. While it didn’t seem to be moving quickly, its speed was no less than that of other life forms in a frantic dash.
With a roar, it swung its enormous bear paw toward the organized formation of the Red Dress Guard.
Suddenly, Xia Bai appeared above the entire guard, wielding a black sickle and flapping black wings, fixing her gaze on the advancing Man-Bear King.
Below her, the hundreds of warriors of the Red Dress Guard sprang into action.
Several of their battle beasts rose up, various colored lights emanating from them, rapidly spreading throughout the entire team.
There were four colors of light: light blue, light red, black, and cyan-purple.
The light blue glow was an auxiliary ability of the battle beasts—Light of Agility, which increased the agility of all life forms within its range and also sped up the release of techniques.
The light red glow was called Power Halo, which enhanced the power of various attacks.
The black one was the Strength of Arm, which boosted the strength of life forms within the area.
The last cyan-purple one was called Pestilence Arrival, enabling life forms in the range to inflict toxin damage when initiating skills.
These four types of enhancement auxiliary battle beasts were acquired by Ye Zhongming at a high cost from the Five Rings Society's Ogre Chain and were specially nurtured at the Ten Thousand Beast Manor. After being refined through Storm Glaze energy, they had now reached the level of practical combat.
Previously, these little creatures were considered protected due to their low levels and were often deemed too dangerous for missions by the Red Dress Guard.
After the halos, the female warriors revealed their standardized long knives.
Each member of the Red Dress Guard possessed at least three weapons, uniquely suited to them, which varied widely. The second type was the Magic Crystal Firearms, which they carried on their backs. Some joked that to gauge the current level of Magic Crystal weapons at Cloud Summit Villa, one could stroll around the walls, observe the Magic Crystal cannons, then wait by the roadside to see what styles the Red Dress Guard was carrying.
This indicated that all the Magic Crystal Firearms of the Red Dress Guard were of the latest models.
The third type consisted of these uniformly blue-level Sand Dances, the second form of the War Blade Moon Sand, which had been upgraded from green on Ye Zhongming's design.
