The current Ruins Formation Disk is not the same as the previous one.
In the past, the formations available were limited to just a few basic ones, with each formation requiring only thirty to forty puppets.
The combat power of the puppet warriors did not satisfy Ye Zhongming. The types of formations were different, and their functions were quite singular, with obvious drawbacks in usage.
For example, the Charge Formation was an offensive type, while the Hao Formation was purely defensive. The Yan Formation could be used in chaotic battles, and the Fei Formation was a moving and circulating type.
This required Ye Zhongming to choose a suitable formation based on the circumstances during battle. However, many situations could not be judged instantly; the opponent might first defend before attacking, or retreat and then engage in battle, or both sides might fight evenly before falling into chaos. At that point, should he choose the Charge Formation or the Yan Formation?
The battlefield was unpredictable, and a single type of formation could not handle everything.
Moreover, since each formation had special requirements for the puppet warriors, the number of puppet warriors needed depended on the number of formations. For Ye Zhongming, who had already left the Brightwater Realm's puppet ruins, he could not find such puppet warriors anymore.
To strengthen them, he had to undergo homogenization reinforcement, which further reduced their numbers. Eventually, he could no longer satisfy the requirements of all formations, which limited the usage of the formation disk even more.
As a result, for a long time after obtaining this item, Ye Zhongming had not used it.
He had too many other abilities and equipment, most of which were more practical than the Ruins Formation Disk.
However, after evolving into a top-tier craftsman and gaining the ability to choose and create equipment, Ye Zhongming specifically studied this Ruins Formation Disk and puppet warriors.
After numerous experiments, he even destroyed dozens of puppet warriors and had the formation disk break twice.
After repairs, Ye Zhongming successfully modified this equipment.
Post-modification, only two types of formations remained on the Ruins Formation Disk. One was the Charge Formation, a main offensive formation that was not limited to attacking; these puppet warriors also had the ability to adapt to battlefield changes.
The other was the Hao Formation, which was mainly defensive, not charging into battle but capable of handling chaotic fights and movement.
Now, Ye Zhongming was using the Charge Formation.
To be honest, the bosses of the powers around Ying City were not taken seriously by Ye Zhongming. Now that the puppet warriors only needed to meet the demands of two formations, their numbers were sufficient.
After reserving a few, he enhanced and modified the rest. At this point, the combat power of each puppet warrior had exceeded five stars, approaching that of a six-star evolver. The Charge Formation required fifty warriors, while the Hao Formation needed seventy.
When combined, the puppet warriors posed a significant threat even to the core members of Cloud Summit. Dealing with these opponents was more than enough.
From facing over a hundred enemies, all at least five-star, with an average evolution level of six-star, to now suddenly having over fifty helpers before the battle had even begun, the numbers on both sides had become much closer.
Indeed, it was the Son of Heaven and the Heavenly Armor who initiated the attack, but in fact, it was Ye Zhongming who forced them to act.
The puppet warriors had already engaged in battle with the evolvers from Guan City at the front. The sudden change in circumstances left many feeling flustered.
Human emotions can be quite peculiar; when they feel confident, they believe their choices are absolutely correct and never to be altered. Yet once the situation changes, they can instantly shift from confidence to hesitation, completely forgetting their previous resolve.
