Chapter 1453: Plans Gone Awry 😅

Published: February 12, 2025

CHAPTER TEXT:

The skill quantity of the "Dual Integration" has not changed, but the skills have transformed, with the level rising from the green level on the blueprint to the golden level in reality.

In terms of skills alone, it does fall slightly short compared to other golden equipment, but that’s not necessarily a flaw. Equipment, even at the same level, inherently has its pros and cons. For example, the Bloodstained Battle Boots are among Ye Zhongming's earliest pieces of golden equipment; they don't have many skills, but they are quite practical.

Now, this unhindered sand dust pendant, benefiting from its spatial nature, may not have many skills, but those it does have are quite good. Ye Zhongming tested it outside and found its power acceptable; at least it poses a certain threat even to eight-star evolvers. The last two skills are particularly suitable for group attacks.

Wearing this piece of spatial equipment, Ye Zhongming understood that for now, he had to pause the manufacturing of spatial equipment. Liu Zhenghong wouldn’t have much time to help him with these "Spatial Eggs" as she had more important tasks at hand.

Ye Zhongming could only set aside his anxious mindset, realizing that such matters cannot be rushed. If Liu Zhenghong's research on spatial genes could achieve breakthrough progress, it might greatly aid and enhance his manufacturing capabilities.

The leaders of various factions had already left Cloud Summit to prepare for battle. Whether they bore the name of Cloud Summit or retained their own, the excitement of personally controlling a territory was palpable, as it signified a fresh start.

Cloud Summit also became busier, cooperating with Ten Thousand Beast Manor, the water steward, and other previously agreed factions, including the Ogre Chain from the five rings society. Each collaboration meant a significant demand for resources and products. Ye Zhongming also needed to prepare for the upcoming wave of transactions. Once the major factions in Ying City completed their control over their territories, they would certainly enter the secret realms en masse. Coupled with the smaller factions, who lacked the qualification to control their areas and would inevitably seek adventure in the secret realms, it would soon be a test of whether Cloud Summit's finances and supplies were sufficient.

Delegating other matters to Xia Lei, Ye Zhongming immersed himself in frantic manufacturing.

To facilitate material acquisition, Ye Zhongming moved directly into the material warehouse. With his arrival, Cloud Summit began to operate in full swing.

The main battle team and even the guardians were out on the prowl, continuously hunting various mutated life forms and collecting all sorts of materials.

Many surrounding factions were notified a day in advance that a particular area would become Cloud Summit's hunting ground the next day, asking them not to intrude temporarily, or else they would be treated as enemies.

This ban generally lasted only a day, occasionally stretching to two or three days. Afterward, when battle teams entered, they would find a plethora of bloodstains but no trace of what Cloud Summit had been hunting. They had never discovered any particularly special mutated life forms in those regions.

Occasionally, there were rumors that Cloud Summit was experimenting with new weapons and gene life forms, but no one had any concrete evidence.

Busy alongside Ye Zhongming and the battle teams were Xia Lei, Miya, and others responsible for logistics. They had a tremendous amount of work to do daily, such as compiling various data, categorizing items, organizing transaction lists, and even coordinating the battle dates for the various teams while accepting supplies from the secret realms.

The newly established factories, production lines, and affairs concerning the battle beast camp kept them exceedingly busy.

In the end, Xia Lei had to call Guangyao and Mo Ye to have their deputies command the expeditions; one would handle military matters while the other temporarily took charge of Cloud Summit's defense, allowing Xia Lei to fully devote herself to logistics.
