Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 1359: Bloodbath Unleashed 🔪

Ye Zhongming hurried through Scab City, holding a notebook.

On the surface, he appeared calm, but inside, he was genuinely anxious.

This place was different from the secret realm; back then, even though he didn't know the essence of the secret realm, he had a rough understanding of what it was and how it was connected to Earth.

But now, everything was different. He had no idea how he arrived here, and his sense of crisis had never faded.

He was afraid of what would happen without his red dress guard, afraid that this place was indeed thousands of miles away from Earth, and even if he could return, everything there would be different.

He feared being trapped here forever, just like that three-legged monster, left with only descendants to survive in this place for many years to come.

The only ones he could fully trust were the Indy Squad, and thankfully, Ye Zhongming knew where Indy’s home was, which was also where the squad usually gathered.

Although Ye Zhongming had never been to Indy’s home, the city was built very systematically, with clear district divisions. Indy was located in the civilian area of the city, where the Indy Squad had a decent amount of power and their residence was relatively spacious and easy to find.

However, as Ye Zhongming approached the vicinity, he sensed the tense atmosphere; every household had their doors shut, as if the entire area had been cleared.

Ye Zhongming immediately felt something was wrong, and his unease intensified.

He quickly rushed in one direction where a commotion was heard.

The closer he got, the heavier his heart felt; this direction was precisely where Indy had told him his home was.

Sure enough, after turning past a distinctive stone monument, he saw a house surrounded by many people in layers, some wearing city guard uniforms, but more were adventurers in various leather armors.

Among them, a few individuals clad in black battle armor stood out, occupying the central position, clearly implying their roles as decision-makers and leaders.

This house was indeed Indy's home!

Before Ye Zhongming even arrived, he could hear the sounds of fierce fighting and screams coming from the yard. The encircling crowd outside didn’t seem to be in a hurry to break in; they all remained motionless outside the yard.

Yet, even though there weren't many people who had entered the yard, the change in the screams made Ye Zhongming recognize they belonged to members of the Indy Squad.

His eyes slightly reddened; with a flick of his wrist, two daggers appeared in his hands.

Although the equipment from the roulette could not be used, the daggers had lost their levels, but their sharpness remained, capable of cutting flesh.

Ye Zhongming turned into a fleeting shadow and dashed into the yard.

Even at this moment, he maintained his composure, still harboring a glimmer of hope that these people hadn’t slaughtered the Indy Squad members.

How could the people outside stop Ye Zhongming? He charged straight in without them even realizing that an enemy had arrived from behind.

After entering the small yard, shouts from outside finally rang out.

Inside the yard, ten or so corpses lay in disarray. Ye Zhongming took a glance, and his anger became uncontrollable.

Among these corpses were several members of the Indy Squad, including Indy!

Near the yard wall, six or seven people were surrounding two female members, Yaqin and Lan Jin, who were covered in injuries, continually taunting and attacking them, clearly trying to capture them alive.

Ye Zhongming’s gaze fell on an open door to the side, where several corpses in ordinary clothing lay, two adult females, one old and one young, along with three children.

If he guessed correctly, they must be Indy's family.

These people hadn’t even spared Indy’s relatives!

Ye Zhongming was furious; this anger was unlike the hatred for the random slaughter of innocents fueled by his inherent goodness, nor was it the sense of justice born from the law not permitting such behavior.
