Scab City is one of the few cities located at the bottom of Hey Ant Valley. Compared to other cities in different areas, this city is somewhat smaller and stranger.
However, the characteristics of such a city are quite distinct, and it is well-known throughout the Bourbon Free Territory.
The first characteristic is that this city is built in mid-air. Of course, it doesn't float freely but is supported by more than three hundred thick and smooth crystal pillars.
This design is naturally intended to prevent the countless heyma attacks from below. The smoothness of the crystal pillars makes it extremely difficult for heyma to climb up. At the top of each pillar, there are special attack holes where a large amount of boiling oil, poisonous mist, flames, and other defensive measures can be poured down when necessary, making it hard for heyma to advance.
Moreover, the height of the crystal pillars is sufficient to keep heyma with certain flying abilities from using that instinct to enter the city.
The second characteristic is that commerce here is exceptionally developed.
Although the number of humans in Hey Ant Valley is lower than in other regions due to the presence of these underground nuisances, the population is more concentrated. If one doesn’t want to be gnawed into white bones in their sleep, living in this 'aerial city' is undoubtedly the best choice.
Within the valley, a variety of materials, such as ores and herbs, are abundantly available. Most importantly, there is the Red Scarf Fruit, something that humans need at all times. The production of Red Scarf Fruit in Hey Ant Valley accounts for over eighty percent of the entire Free Territory's output. It is not an exaggeration to call it a specialty; countless adventurers have relied on hunting Red Scarf Fruit for generations, and related industries have gradually formed a complete commercial circle, supporting the resilient existence of cities like Scab City and radiating a brilliance that is no less than that of cities in other fields.
These two characteristics contribute to the long-standing and unique charm of Scab City.
When Ye Zhongming saw this city, he couldn't help but marvel at everything in front of him. This world, no, this universe, has too many things he has never seen before. In the face of these, no matter how much he can evolve, he will always feel the heavy pressure of time and the impact of history.
Perhaps he and others are powerful to an unimaginable degree, able to look down on these places with a conqueror's posture, but they will inevitably not always dominate. One day, they will succumb to time and become history, becoming inconspicuous dust in the river of eternity and instant.
“Ye, we may not be as good as you at hunting Red Scarf Fruit, but when it comes to selling it, that's definitely our strong suit. We know exactly which shops in Scab City offer fair prices and who can accurately identify the age of the fruit!”
During his time with Ye Zhongming, Indy had tasted what it was like to laugh even in his dreams.
He had never thought that one day, he could sit on the ground, watching piles of Red Scarf Fruits appear before him. To him, that was all money.
This fruit was something he and his teammates usually couldn't bear to eat. Whenever they had the chance to hunt, they would only let one of the seven take a piece while the others sold the rest. The next time, they would rotate who got to eat.
However, Red Scarf Fruits were not that easy to come by. After being adventurers for so long, they still hadn’t completed a full rotation, and Indy and Lan Jin still had no idea what Red Scarf Fruit tasted like.
But during this time, each of the six had received at least five Red Scarf Fruits with an age rating of over three. Some had eaten three, leaving two because they couldn’t bear to consume them, waiting to sell them instead.
Although Ye Zhongming had promised that all proceeds would be shared with Indy’s team for twenty percent, the teammates felt that Ye didn't understand the market. Once he realized how much these fruits were worth, he would definitely regret it.
