“Brother Ye, Brother Ye, it hurts a bit.” Daming immediately broke into a sweat; he almost had his arm crushed by Ye Zhongming's grip.

Ye Zhongming released his hand and apologized to Daming.

“The people in the base all know that there are three roulette wheels here. Before they were secured, many people saw them,” Daming explained while rubbing his arm.

“All three roulette wheels are located in the East District; one is in the underground parking lot, and the other two are in a building and on the rooftop of another building,” he continued.

Ye Zhongming felt his heart race a little and asked the most important question to him, “What grade are the roulette wheels?”

“What grade?” Daming scratched his head. “It should be Grade 1 and Grade 2? Anyway, the crystals on top are the same as those on the foreheads of the zombies outside; some are grayish-white, some are white, and the one on the rooftop should be Grade 2, right?”

There really is Grade 2!

Ye Zhongming was greatly excited.

In his past life, he left this city shortly after becoming a Grade 1 evolver, so he wasn't clear about the locations of the Grade 2 roulette wheels in the city. After obtaining Grade 2 magic crystals, he planned to start searching for the Grade 2 roulette wheels. Besides wanting to exchange for necessary items like bullets and firearms at the base, he also wanted to see if there were any certificate scrolls and similar items, as well as gather information on the Grade 2 roulette wheels.

What he didn't expect was that he not only got information about the Grade 2 roulette wheels but also found them within the new district base!

This really felt like something that required no effort at all after a long search.

Daming knew the locations of the roulette wheels well. Ye Zhongming only asked a few questions and remembered everything. He wasn't worried about not finding them because the roulette wheels emitted a faint glow, making it easy to spot them at night.

After buying some food, the group returned to their residence. Due to the earlier incident with the woman selling herself, the enthusiasm of the girls had diminished; the market's offerings no longer caught their interest.

Back at the residence, Jiamin hadn't returned with any news yet. Everyone tidied up their bedding, while Ye Zhongming went alone to the rooftop.

This building had twenty floors, and Jiamin and Daming lived on the eighteenth floor, making them the highest residents in the building; the nineteenth and twentieth floors were vacant.

Reaching the rooftop, Ye Zhongming looked out over the entire new district base. Only then did he realize how large this base was; it covered two entire blocks, and although they weren't fully covered, there were still hundreds of buildings of various sizes.

From the 'walls' made of large buildings and concrete blocks around, he could clearly see many guards patrolling, but their attention was focused outside and didn’t notice Ye Zhongming on the rooftop.

From his elevated position, he also gained insight into the situation outside the base. Although he had witnessed many such scenes in his previous life, seeing it in this life still deeply shocked him.

He saw that the entire base was surrounded by zombies and mutated animals, with not a single gap in sight. A rough glance revealed that there were at least over fifty thousand zombies gathered here!

The new district was indeed sparsely populated, but that was relative to the city center. There were still over a hundred thousand people living and working here. While it might not compare to other districts with populations in the hundreds of thousands, the number of zombies after the apocalypse was still quite substantial.

Having seen clearly, Ye Zhongming understood why the base was always on high alert. He noticed many powerful mutated zombies, and they were all Grade 2 mutations. Thankfully, he saw that there weren't any Grade 3 mutated zombies among them; otherwise, no matter how strong the 'walls' were, they wouldn't be able to withstand an attack from zombies two levels above humans.
