The sunlight spilled down, warming everyone.
Winter was approaching, but there was no sign of it yet. Perhaps only the leaves that had begun to change color reminded people in the apocalypse to pay attention to the temperature and seasons.
A gentle breeze blew from above, bringing a hint of coolness, but it did not affect the three people in the air at all.
Ye Zhongming sat on the head of the undead fish dragon, holding the hammer he had obtained from the Lava Sea in silence.
Behind him stood Red Hair, dressed in red, her long hair flowing in the wind. She crossed her arms and occasionally shifted her gaze between the distance and Ye Zhongming.
Next to them was Xia Bai, who had unfurled her Fallen Celestial Wings.
This combination of three people and one undead lifeform had almost become the center of attention around Cloud Summit, with those below occasionally looking up at this strange scene.
"Still... not working?"
Red Hair leaned forward slightly, trying to see Ye Zhongming’s face and the hammer in his arms. Her long hair fell down, nearly covering Ye Zhongming's face.
Seeing Ye Zhongming, who was somewhat helplessly pushing his hair aside after being interrupted in his thoughts, Red Hair let out a series of giggles.
After experiencing a rebirth, she was completely different now. The current her was a brand new version, a reborn individual!
She had transformed from a human puppet who couldn’t even speak and lacked independent thought, created by Ye Zhongming, into a lifeform with an entirely new existence.
Her lively eyes, skin full of elasticity and health, and shining red hair—all aspects nearly embodied the pinnacle of womanhood.
Even her personality had become warm and playful.
This change evoked not only surprise but also delight and closeness in others.
The previous Red Hair and the current Red Hair were both at the core of Cloud Summit, but the latter was more readily accepted by everyone.
No one regarded her as a puppet or even a zombie anymore; she was now a remarkable human.
"This thing can't be qualitatively enhanced, can't be enchanted, can't be forged, and there are no prompts when using it. I tried using it to forge weapons as you suggested, but it had no effect at all. Even when I attempted to infuse it with mental energy or my own strength, it still showed no response," Ye Zhongming sighed, his eyes full of regret.
After Red Hair handed this object over to him, he had been researching it and was certain that it represented one of the ultimate secrets of the Blue Secret Realm. Otherwise, his soul wouldn’t have wandered around that area.
But now that the treasure was in his hands, he couldn’t decipher its mysteries or use it, leaving him feeling unsatisfied, as if he had entered a treasure mountain only to return empty-handed.
"Is it an issue of fusion?" Xia Bai suddenly spoke up.
She maintained her usual habit of being quiet, but when she was with Ye Zhongming, she acted more like a normal person, despite her aloofness after fully entering the dark power attributes. As for Red Hair... it was unclear whether Xia Bai thought she was special or if it was due to their previous battle alongside the ninth level holy father in the secret realm, but the two had a clear closeness that was greater than with other core members.
Ye Zhongming paused for a moment before understanding what Xia Bai meant.
She was referring to a situation similar to the Fallen Celestial Wings.
The life consumption ability within the Fallen Celestial Wings was a special capability that combined equipment with the body. After this fusion, it led to a free and unrestrained manner of use, which could also be considered a special way of solving equipment recognition issues.
Ye Zhongming shook his head. "It shouldn’t be. Your wings can clearly function as part of the human body; although they exceed the original human structure, they can still be considered an organ. But this hammer is different. Even if it could be fused, I wouldn’t know how to do it."
Xia Bai fell silent; this was all she could suggest.
