Doomsday Roulette

Chapter 121: One Blade Determines the Universe ⚔️

Published: February 5, 2025

Mo Ye, Liang Chuyin, and Little Tiger huddled together, protecting Park Soo-young in the center, each responsible for one side as they desperately defended against the frenzied horde of wild boars.

If it weren't for the sharpness of the two edge of the moon blades that made the wild boars wary, and the long whips that could whip, pull, and spin, along with their sufficient length, they would have been overwhelmed by the wild boars already.

However, Mo Ye and the others knew they couldn't hold out much longer. Liang Chuyin was already at the end of her strength, needing Mo Ye and Little Tiger's help multiple times just to hold her ground. If her position was breached, it would be the end for all of them.

Suddenly, Little Tiger let out a muffled grunt.

It turned out that in his eagerness to kill a second-level wild boar, he was careless with his edge of the moon technique. Although he succeeded, he was gored in the thigh by a wild boar that had been waiting for an opportunity. If he hadn't reacted quickly, using the edge of the moon to slice off the tusk, he would have already been lifted off the ground by the wild boar.

However, the sharp tusk remained lodged in his leg, and Mo Ye instantly felt Little Tiger's shoulder collide with hers. If she hadn't been there, Little Tiger would have already fallen.

In a battlefield where flesh and blood flew every moment, falling meant death.

Liang Chuyin also let out a cry as the whip in her hand was bitten by a wild boar. Although the sharp and hard willow leaf of the whip cut its mouth, blood flowed like a stream from its maw, the whip that the wild boars found repulsive was still restrained.

Immediately, two wild boars charged in from either side, aiming to end Liang Chuyin's life.

Park Soo-young, already weak all over, saw her companion in danger, let out a scream, and summoned the void crystal shield, narrowly blocking the wild boar on her right.

But after using it, Park Soo-young’s body went limp, and she could no longer stand. Her mind felt like it was filled with buzzing bees, and everything in front of her dimmed. If they weren't still fighting, she would have already fainted. Now, though she was desperately holding on and not losing consciousness, she was utterly unable to move, crumpling to the ground.

Hearing Liang Chuyin's cries, Mo Ye wanted to help, but Little Tiger had just leaned on her. If she moved, Little Tiger would certainly fall, completely shattering their defensive formation. But if she didn't help, Liang Chuyin would be in trouble again, and Mo Ye wished she could clone herself right now.

Liang Chuyin was ready to give up, but when she saw Teacher Park risk her life to create a void crystal shield that blocked one side, her ingenuity sparked. She pulled out the gun Ye Zhongming had given her and aimed it at the charging wild boar, pulling the trigger.

The last two bullets shot into the wild boar's head, shattering its charge and taking its life.

Mo Ye let out a sigh of relief.

But this only temporarily alleviated the danger; the intensity of the wild boars' attacks was increasing. Perhaps in the next moment, a new crisis would arise.

Mo Ye instinctively glanced at Gu Pan, who was watching the battle from the second floor, but suddenly realized a ghostly figure had crept up behind Gu Pan—it was Ye Zhongming, who had been expected to arrive!

Gu Pan gritted his teeth, watching the battle below. With every mutated wild boar that died, his heart trembled, but seeing the four below holding on by a thread, he felt excited again.

Suddenly, a gust of wind came from behind. Gu Pan wanted to turn around to look, but before he could move, he felt his arm being twisted. Then came a sharp crack and excruciating pain coursed through his body.

“Ah!!”

Gu Pan couldn't contain his scream, and before he knew it, someone was choking his neck, dragging his uncontrolled body out of the window along with his attacker.

Upon landing, Gu Pan wanted to struggle, but the person behind him delivered a brutal knee strike. Gu Pan felt as if his eyeballs were about to pop out from the pain, and moments later, tears streamed down his face as he realized he had lost control of his lower body.
