The sound of "Puff!" echoed repeatedly as the siege vehicles launched metallic objects that opened up like umbrellas, piercing into the city walls. Ye Zhongming was surprised to find that he could actually feel the walls vibrating, and the vibration quickly intensified into tremors!

“Stabbing Worm!”

Hongxiang gritted his teeth as he uttered these two words.

“What does that mean?”

Ye Zhongming glanced over. The attack was proceeding in an orderly manner, and he had no orders to give for the moment, so he asked upon hearing Hongxiang mention a name.

“It's something that damages the foundation of buildings.”

Hongxiang could only explain so much. He wasn’t quite clear on the principle behind the equipment of the Temple of Dawn, but he knew that this thing, referred to as Stabbing Worm by the posthumous child, was specifically designed to destroy the wall's foundation.

Ye Zhongming nodded. He had never seen this thing, but he could feel its potency.

He was very clear on how sturdy and thick the city walls of the Posthumous Child King City were, constructed from treated bluestone and other mixed materials. If he were to attack freely, he would probably find himself at a loss.
