CHAPTER TEXT:
The chest of Red Hair instantly caved in.
If it were a human, even an evolver, this blow would likely be fatal.
But she was not human; she was a mysterious lifeform so enigmatic that even Ye Zhongming, who created her, could not comprehend her essence.
As the bone bird crashed into her, a swarm of skeleton warriors behind Red Hair instantly shattered. Their Soul Fire quickly drifted into her body, allowing her severely injured form to endure.
Even though Red Hair unleashed a mental storm at the cost of her vitality, the suppression it exerted over lifeforms like the bone bird and bone dragon would soon dissipate. Once they regained their peak state, these beings would teach Red Hair what it meant to be a top-tier undead.
Thus, she had to end this quickly.
Grasping the Soul Fire within the body of the bone bird, an extreme pain began to surge through Red Hair.
First, she felt a burning agony, as if in the next moment her palm would ignite from the Soul Fire and turn to ash.
Next came the impact from her soul.
In a certain sense, Red Hair shared some similarities with the undead lifeforms; her rebirth was directly linked to the Soul Pearl.
Her life also contained Soul Fire.
There were two ways to annihilate undead lifeforms: one was a clean and efficient method of shattering them into pieces, and the other was to extinguish the Soul Fire within them.
The method Red Hair was employing was undoubtedly the second one.
Given her strength, she was not qualified to use the first method to kill these two beings, who were top-tier entities in both life and death.
However, attempting to absorb their Soul Fire was not an easy task. Although Red Hair was undoubtedly a top-tier existence on Earth, there was a significant level difference between her and the bone dragon and bone bird here.
To absorb their Soul Fire across levels was akin to touching the essence, how could she avoid backlash?
Red Hair knew she could do nothing but hold on, maintaining her consciousness to ensure her Soul Fire was not absorbed back.
The torment began. The two sides seemed intimately entwined, and though the size difference looked bizarre, they were engaged in the most perilous of endeavors.
This was a war for the essence, a true battle of survival—either she or they would perish.
The bone dragon glanced over but did not come to help. One, it was currently being disturbed by a strange chair, and two, it did not believe that the bone bird, of the same rank, would fail.
That lifeform, which confused them yet felt deeply uncomfortable, did not possess the ability to defeat the flame divine phoenix—regardless of its deceased state.
The bone dragon’s attention shifted to the Bone Dragon Throne above. The presence of its kind initially bewildered it, but now, facing the reality, its Soul Eye was filled with disdain.
What kind of kinship? Just a fake dragon.
Even though the construction of this chair was intriguing, it was still a low-level object.
The black mist sprayed from the dragon head on the chair landed on the bone dragon, causing discomfort. It assumed this was related to the mental storm attack, so it did not move or make any actions. After sensing for a moment, it shook its body, throwing off the surrounding skeleton warriors and clearing the black mist from its body.
For it, these things were nothing.
But when the bone dragon intended to swing its tail to knock the flying bone chair away, it suddenly felt weak!
Undead lifeforms do not exhaust their strength; feeling weak only meant one possibility—its Soul Fire was injured!
The bone dragon could not believe it; how could a low-level undead artifact harm it?!
It suppressed its discomfort and lunged at the Bone Dragon Throne. The bone dragon's plan was simple: if it couldn’t comprehend it, then destroy it.
But suddenly, a mental wave from the bone bird reached out to it, surprisingly asking for help. The bone dragon turned its head to see the bone bird, of the same rank, rapidly losing energy to that lifeform!
As a top-tier existence of Necropolis Hill, the bone dragon had to go assist, but the Bone Dragon Throne proactively flew over and crashed into it.
