This is Satou. There’s something truly wonderful about one’s hometown. Every time I go on a budget trip overseas, I’m reminded of that.
â—‡
It’s been a while since I last came to Akihabara.
After it got out that I brought Lady Ringlande to Japan, everyone begged me to take them here, so here we are.
Mia and Ms. Aze are disguised just enough to hide their ears under hats, but the beast girls are using illusions for full-on disguises. Their original forms are cute, but their human tribe appearances are refreshing and nice too.
At first, we all moved as a group, but since everyone wanted to visit different places, we split up in the morning.
Arisa took Hikaru, Princess Sistina, and former Demon Lord Shizuka to Ikebukuro for some fujoshi activities.
Mia, Nana, Ms. Aze, and Sera went shopping in Shinjuku and Shibuya.
Lulu, Pochi, Tama, and Miss Karina went on a food tour recommended by a gourmet guide.
Kagura, who requested Akihabara, immediately dragged Liza and Ms. Zena to the arcade upon arrival.
I was gazing around with deep emotion and ended up falling behind, but then—
“Sato-san.”
A familiar face called me by the wrong name.
There stood Mr. Metabo, a heavyweight planner whose fat jiggles with every step.
He was my colleague at the company where we made games together right up until I went to another world.
“Where have you been, Sato-san?”
“No idea who that is.”
I don’t know any Sato.
“Don’t play dumb! Disappearing without a word isn’t like you, Sato-san!”
“I’m Suzuki, not Sato.”
“Oh, my apologies.”
When I corrected him with my real name, Mr. Metabo’s sharp tongue relaxed.
Come to think of it, what’s Mr. Metabo’s real name again?
“So, Suzuki-san, where have you been until now?”
“Ah, I was just abducted by foreigners and couldn’t come back to Japan.”
My careless excuse surprised him.
He’s a good guy and seemed to believe me without question.
“Sorry, Tanaka.”
Kagura, who was supposed to have gone into the arcade, suddenly appeared beside us.
As expected of the dragon god, she has ears like a hellhound.
“A rather rude remark to the kind me.”
I received a telepathic protest from Kagura.
Ah, so that “Tanaka” earlier wasn’t just a random name—I guess she just told me Mr. Metabo’s real name.
Right, Tanaka was it.
Everyone just called him Mr. Metabo, so I forgot his real name.
“You didn’t notice my subtle consideration? What a clueless boy you are.”
“Sorry, sorry. I’ll make it up to you later.”
“I look forward to it.”
I exchanged rapid telepathic messages with Kagura.
Since gaining divine status, I can do things like this effortlessly.
“Is she Suzuki-san’s daughter?”
Mr. Metabo glanced at Kagura and asked.
“No, she’s this guy’s wife.”
“Sato-san has finally awakened to the charm of lolis! He was so stubbornly denying his taste for little girls before!”
Hearing Kagura’s words, Mr. Metabo was deeply moved.
He said “Sato” again, though, Mr. Metabo.
“Ms. Zena, here they come.”
“Lady Kagura, I was worried when you suddenly disappeared.”
Liza and Ms. Zena came out from the arcade.
“New women! Relatives or family? Or maybe the wife?”
“Yeah.”
I wanted to point out that a wife is family, but I didn’t want to drag the conversation out, so I just nodded.
“Which one?”
Mr. Metabo compared Liza and Ms. Zena.
“All of them.”
Kagura said with a confident look.
“Polygamy?!”
Mr. Metabo was shocked.
I couldn’t say it was just the tip of the iceberg.
Let’s change the subject.
“So, Mr. Metabo, did the game release go well?”
“Somehow managed. Thanks to Suzuki-san finishing it and uploading it to the server.”
That’s good. I’d been a bit worried about that.
“Actually, the updates and server maintenance afterward were hell. But the company president used his connections to sort it out.”
That president is a mystery in many ways.
I wish he’d used those connections earlier to hire more programmers.
“Tanaka-san, is she your friend?”
That surprised me.
Mr. Metabo had a woman with him.
