Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

Chapter 661: Reinforcements 💪

Published: September 10, 2025

This is Satou. It goes without saying, just like the cavalry in a Western film, a reliable reinforcements rushing to the protagonist’s aid in a pinch is one of the highlights of any story. Though, sometimes they can be rather unreliable—

“I’ve come to help—”

Bursting into the room were three handsome gods, radiating orange, blue, and yellow light—God Heralon, God Galleon, and Zaikuon.

Quite the unexpected lineup.

From the colors of the dots on the map, it was immediately clear they weren’t enemies or allies, but I never expected them to come.

“Parion!”

“Where is Parion!”

I see, their mission is to rescue Parion, so that makes sense.

They seemed ready to face the demon god head-on, as the male gods were clad in dazzling armor and weapons.

“Don’t stray too far. Karion said so too.”

“I didn’t say that. But I agree. If you stray too far, defilement will creep in.”

Along with noisy voices appeared two young goddesses glowing with indigo and vermilion light—Urion God and Karion God.

I thought God Tenion might show up too, but there was no sign of her.

Looks like she’s staying behind.

“—Noisy.”

The demon god rose heavily from the throne.

Even for the demon god, facing seven gods at once isn’t something to handle casually.

“Perishssssssssssssssss!”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself, Zaikuon! Can’t help it, Galleon, assist!”

The male gods dashed through the demon god’s vast chamber in an instant.

Their weapons shone brilliantly in the colors of their respective gods.

—Damn.

I was standing between the approaching gods and the demon god.

“All three, wait!”

“If you keep going, Satou will get caught in the crossfire!”

“Like I care!”

“Small matters before the big.”

“Sacrifice yourself for a noble cause.”

Karion and Urion tried to stop them, but the gods charged on relentlessly.

Apparently, they were prepared to take me down along with the demon god.

The demon god began gathering dark purple light, almost black, presumably to counterattack.

—This is bad.

The powerful divine techniques wielded by the gods and the demon god’s attacks were a bit too much for me at level 1.

I quickly repositioned using my visual units to escape the danger zone, but judging by the enormous divine power, even the residual waves could be fatal.

Sure enough, the defensive barrier I built with primal magic was rapidly being worn down. I rebuilt it immediately, but the storm of pure colored light destroyed it faster than I could.

In my panicked vision, I spotted the Divine Dance Armor floating near the demon god.

—That.

With primal magic’s help, I hacked the demon god’s Divine Dance Armor and brought it under my control, managing just in time to shield myself from the dazzling flash and shockwave that painted my vision with pure light.

Just as I thought I was saved, the enormous divine power clashing between the gods and the demon god exceeded its limit and exploded violently.

Thanks to the multiple defensive barriers hastily erected with primal magic and the Divine Dance Armor, I avoided instant death, but was still blown back to the wall.

My body wouldn’t move, probably due to the bruising.

The afterimage of the flash lingered in my eyes, but after a while, my vision began to recover.

In the center of the room, the demon god was fiercely battling the male gods and Urion God.

Karion God seemed to be mostly supporting from behind.

The gods were being pushed back against the demon god, who was not at full strength.

Part of it was the flashy and brute-force nature of the gods’ attacks, but the main reason seemed to be the high performance of the Divine Swords.

The demon god shattered the vermilion defensive barrier Karion God created with a single blow, then crushed the gods’ weapons and armor effortlessly.

Of course, the gods quickly realized close combat was dangerous and tried to fight outside the Divine Sword’s range, but the Dimensional Sword pulled them in, forcing close combat.

My body was still numb, so I took an elixir from storage.
