"Damn, it's strong."
"Show the pride of an A-rank adventurer!"
In one of the towers near the Imperial Capital of the Saga Empire, around the middle floors, adventurers of the Saga Empire were locked in a fierce battle with a six-meter-tall Vanguard Demitroll.
"Alright! The blade got through!"
"Burn it! Don’t let it regenerate!"
The leader of the adventurers inflicted a wound on the Vanguard Demitroll with his greatsword, while the other members used fire magic and burning spears to scorch the wounded area.
Normally, stopping the bleeding that causes continuous damage would be foolish against ordinary monsters, but for a Vanguard Demitroll with powerful regenerative abilities, it was essential to prevent regeneration.
"Gah!"
"Don’t get careless! Trolls have more brute strength than ogres!"
The leader warned a young adventurer who was knocked back.
"This is going to be a long fight."
The leader showed signs of fatigue as the battle continued with no clear advantage.
Then, a cute voice rode on a cool breeze to his ears.
“Adventurers, we will be passing nearby. Please don’t be surprised.”
“Who is that?”
“We are the Silver Knight Order, attendants to hero Nameless.”
Across the square, a group clad in silver armor appeared silently.
The arrival of the armored group was so quiet it was almost soundless, unsettling some adventurers. But the leader, having been informed in advance, shouted, “Don’t panic, they’re not enemies!” preventing the front line from breaking.
“Leader, those are—”
“Yeah, the ones who helped us during that incident.”
They seemed familiar with the Silver Knights’ exploits.
The Silver Knights passed swiftly along the edge of the square where the adventurers fought the Vanguard Demitroll.
“Watch out! There’s a troll in the shadows!”
The leader spotted a cunning Vanguard and warned as the Silver Knight Order advanced.
“...■Thunder Blade Net”
Zena Marienthal, also known as the Silver Knight Air, unleashed a combined wind and lightning magic that blew away the Vanguard’s defensive barrier and paralyzed its body.
“Ku-un-fuuu—Kiiiiiick!”
Karina Muno, the Silver Knight Kung Fu, dashed forward and slashed into the paralyzed Vanguard’s torso with a blue glowing kick.
“Kung Fu Upper!”
The Vanguard bent sharply and was knocked back. Karina, crouching low, delivered a powerful uppercut that lifted the huge body into the air.
“Lady Karina, now!”
A gruff voice echoed inside Karina’s helmet.
Blue light wrapped her body, and flashes of light burst from gaps in her armor.
“Kung Fu Air Raid Dance!”
Karina kicked the ground with a fierce tremor, then surrounded the airborne Vanguard with a flurry of attacks from all directions.
Using the air as her footing and employing super high-speed instant movement, her assault created the illusion that she had multiplied.
“Finish, desu wa!”
Karina struck a pose and shouted as the Vanguard crashed to the ground with a thunderous thud.
At the same moment, red light leaked from inside the Vanguard’s body, exploding outward with a blast that scattered chunks of flesh in all directions.
The demon blade’s wedge embedded in the Vanguard must have exceeded its critical threshold and detonated.
Though blood and body fragments stained the ground, Karina herself was unharmed, protected by a cluster of scale-like small light shields created by Laka, an intelligent magical artifact.
Eventually, the scattered flesh and blood dissipated into a mist.
“It looks like the only drop is the demon core.”
“Good work, Kung Fu.”
Having defeated the Vanguard Demitroll, the Silver Knight Order silently exited the square as if nothing had happened.
“No way…”
“They just wiped out the monster we were struggling so hard to kill…”
“Hey! Stop dazing off! We’re still in battle! Do you want to die?”
The leader scolded his comrades who were stunned by the overwhelming difference in strength.
“Are they clever kids?”
“They’re definitely clever.”
From the depths of the darkness, young girls with pink hair chuckled quietly.
