At the inn’s entrance, the children exchanged farewells.

By “walk,” she probably means a stroll through the sky.

Liza was greeting her longtime beastmen slaves.
They were scheduled to settle in a town with many beastmen under Marquis Muno’s territory about half a month from now. It’s a town where Liza is registered as a protector.

I visited Ms. Zena’s family home this morning, and Ukel apologized for his rude behavior at the feast.
I can’t quite recall what that attitude was, so honestly, being apologized to so much just confuses me.

Due to this misunderstanding, he agreed to the engagement with Lord Badward, eldest son of Count Seryu, to wake his sister up.
In short, Ukel was an extreme siscon.
“Boy, please take care of Zena-chan.”
Miss Lirio, a colleague of Zena-san, cheerfully called out.
“Lirio, call me Count Pendragon, or His Excellency, Count Pendragon.”
“Yeah, Lirio is a skeleton (・・), so what can you do?”
“Luu… If you say that, it’s careless.”
Surrounding Zena-san noisily were the three of the Zena Squad.
I suspect those girls were the source of Ukel’s misinformation.
“I’m worried, Zena-chi~”
“It’s okay, Lirio. I’ll come back sometimes.”
Lirio hugged Zena-san tightly, reluctant to part.
“Master, preparations for departure are complete.”
“Thanks, Lulu.”
We boarded the carriage.
“Zena-tan’s parents and nobles aren’t here to see us off?”
“They already came earlier to say their goodbyes.”
I had a brief talk with Zena-san’s mother this morning during the visit.
She was a gentle lady with a calm demeanor, resembling her daughter.
Zena’s father had passed away, but there was a portrait of him when alive. He looked like a strict military man, not resembling Ukel or Zena, but seemed serious.
“Mr. Satou, this is from your mother!”
“Thanks, Martha-chan. Please thank the proprietress too.”
“Okay! Come visit us again!”
“Of course, I will.”
I handed out the boxed lunch from Martha-chan to the others in the carriage, hugged her goodbye, and promised to meet again.
Waving to the people seeing us off, I told Lulu to start the carriage.
“Where are we headed next?”
As we passed through the gate of Seryu City, Arisa asked.
“To the Sheriford Kingdom, where the Central Temple of Urion is.”
“A theocratic state?”
“No, it’s a judicial state—a rather unusual country.”
“Socially, is it like ancient Greece’s direct democracy?”
“Only those who pass the judicial exam have voting rights—it’s a democratic country like that.”
I shared the information I had researched.
The Urion God apparently grants a gift called the “judgment eyes” to believers, and the trials probably involve “capture all criminals in the country” or “rehabilitate all offenders.”
